TTC with PCOS

Period arrived today - one week late

Hi ladies

An update on my situation: I had my ovarian drilling operation one week after my last period started. My next period is now 1 week late but preg tests are negative. Does anyone know if the operation messes with your cycle? I had long cycles before fertomid tx and worry that Ive already reverted back to that state. Of course its the festive season so cant ask my gynae..

An update: I had my operation a week ago and it went pretty well. They scoped my urerus and checked my tubes and all ok there. I had a large follicular cyst on the right ovary and a lot of adhesions on the left side that were not picked up on ultrasound. For this reason I think the operation is a great way of actually checking everything out properly. So i had that cyst drained and the adhesions broken down and he drilled holes in the cysts on my left ovary.
The recovery was a lot worse than I expected. I was man down for 3 days and had to be back at work (Im a vet) an day 4 which was really tough (esp as I still cant do up my pants button!) Im finally feeling back to my normal self today.
As for the success. Well watch this space..

On a different note I found out yesterday that my friend (who 4 months ago wasnt even sure she wanted kids) is now 3 months preggies. Conceived on the first month of trying. I want to be happy for her but am overwhelmed by a feeling of anger and jealousy at the unfairness of life. I cant help feeling let down by my body and so helpless to get what I want so badly.

It is scary that PCOS can control our lives so much, i have only recently been diagnosed and it is wierd coz o get my period like clock work, i have tried nearly everything and my gynae wants to do ovarian drilling as well, my GP is dead set against it though. he says that is not an option for me as it might damage me more, i am scared at this point. i am currently on the pill again to try and control the cysts and then take it from there. good luck on your drilling Trying may god make it easy for you and grant you success.

Geen nuus van my kant af nie. Wag nog vir AF maar ok nog nie weer getoets nie. Het besluit as ek teen vrydag nog nie begin het nie sal ek weer toets. Dan is dit CD 30 waar ek gewoonlik 27 dae is. Was wel naar en baie moeg vandag.
