I know!!!!! It's horrible to lose them like that and then they look at you and you know that you can do nothing for them at all.
OMW!!!!!!!
We had a sheep that thought he was a dog too!! His name was Dudley and he was HUGE. Probably because we gave him liquor. He was quite fond of Tequila.... Got drunk on it a few times
And when it was full moon, he'd go bouncing around the house in '4 wheel drive'!! You know, that silly sheep jump that they bound off on all four legs?
I've been told numerous times to write a book about the farm life. honestly though, I wouldn't know where to begin...
We once put duck eggs under a chicken to hatch. When the ducklings hatched, mommy chicken was so pleased with her babies. Until they went for a swim. I have NEVER in my life seen a chicken jump from foot to foot, squealing and squawking like she did that day.
Then there was the time our cat had kitten and the meerkat we had thought they were hers. She sat in the box with them, pulling them to her, holding them and cooring away...
Honestly, I wouldn't trade my farm life with all it's hiccups and fragility for anything in the world. There are so many wonderful memories that I one day, hope my kids will be able to have as well.
