Great! My gynae is off sick... What are the symptoms of PCOS???? Im not even sure to be honest.. Im not sure when I go AF in Jan but between Jan's AF and Feb's AF the lengh was 23 days... And I haven't has a period since the 18 February... I stopped the pill last yr OCt and every month ive had a period, this is the first with no period...

My fiancé wants me to go for a blood test...

@ Chanti, with OPK's I suppose that you can take it anytime of the day but they also say that the LH hormone concentration levels are higher in the afternoon and that is what the OPk's reads. If I were you I would use the OPK between 12noon and 2pm and try not to drink and liquids for 4 hours or so they say. Maybe start using the OPK's from CD13 to CD16 once a day at 12 noon?

@MTC, I am only going for a Progesterone test after ovulation to check my levels but if this cycle doesn't work then the next cycle I will be monitored with ultrasounds as well to check the follicle size... yikes what a journey.
Please do not feel like a failure Do you have any symptoms of PCOS? I know I have asked this before but what was you cycle lengths in Jan & Feb when you were off b/c?

@Jay-Bee - Is it better to take it at midday, say 2pm, over taking it first thing in the morning? I haven't done any temp charting but I do chart general changes throughout my cycle. I only bought a pack of 4 tests so not sure of the best way to utilise them. Im trying not to go overboard as it is our first month trying but I would like to get a positive just for interest sake

Chanti, I agree with Jay-Bee... Or maybe start with your OPK's from CD10??

Jay-Bee, the Fertomid seems to be doing the trick for you this month Holding thumbs... You going for a follow up scan?

Like I said before, I reckon this is an unovulatory cycle this month and im really wondering if I do in actual fact have PCOS... CD49 and no Af/Pregnancy symptoms... Im starting to feel like a failure..

I was thinking of using OPK's this cycle but they say that Fertomid might give false positives so I won't be using them. Also they are so expensive so I will give my pocket a break this month

The last time I used OPK's I started on CD12 through to CD19 and used them twice a day. Once at 2pm and then again at 9pm. The reason I did this was that I was worried if I took it only once a day then I might miss the ovulation surge. I never got a positive on that cycle but the previous cycles when I used OPK's I used them once a day at 2pm.

Have you started charting as well?

@P4M - Don't pay too much attention to your dreams. It's just ur mind playing tricks on you. You will get ur rainbow baby and everything will be just fine! The prices of any bloodwork is just shocking to say the least. Is there only one lab you can use?

@MTC - Have you maybe considered having a blood test to check if you are pregnant? I know of a friend who continuously got negatives in the HPT's even though the blood work had already confirmed a positive. I sure hope you get some answers soon and ur cycles go back to normal.

AFM - CD5, AF came two days early for the first time ever! I managed to buy some OPK's this weekend at clicks and am so excited for this month's possibilities.

Ladies, I have 4 OPK's, when do u think i should start testing? I usually have a pretty regular 28 day cycle but this last one was 26 days. Should i start testing on day 12 and then every second day thereafter or do you ladies test everyday?
