Trying for a 2016 baby

@Hails - How rude!! My friend was telling me this week that when she went for her pre-conception check up the doc told her flat out that she will not conceive without medical intervention (IVF), 6 months after trying and she got her BFP, she is now into her second semester!!

AFM, Just waiting to ovulate....

Just an update from me, went to doctor last night, general checkup looks fine, I need to get a blood test done so doctor can check if all is okay with that

Just bought a CB OPK pack, and got my digital thermometer so will be charting my BBT and testing to see if I ovulate, will keep you up to date

Still waiting for AF but expect it later today, so a new cycle starts

It's hard finding out that way and he could have been more sympathetic with you. There is a nice way and a rude way!
The least he could have done is give you some options and/or supplements
even a good referral to another doctor! Hope is not lost God will find a way. Thinking of you

@ninies I actually feel like bursting into tears , I had worked myself up so much for this appointment and the clarity it would bring and then nothing. Worst of all is as we were sitting at Ampath a lady came in for a blood pregnancy test and at Woolworths (we stopped on our way home) it was as if EVERY single woman there had a baby or was pregnant.

I am going to keep my appointment with Dr Bell, I never cancelled just as a precaution. We will have the blood test results by Monday and I will have to call Dr Miceli but luckily they are also sending a copy to my gynae.

I know this is going to be a long hard road full of people telling us nothing can be done , I am hoping to find a doctor that is prepared to make our miracle happen and not just brush us to the side.

@Hails - I am so sorry that your visit to the doctor was so awful and that he is not at all interested in helping you out with something that is very important and dear to your heart.
I have been referred to a very good Urologist in Pretoria - I will gladly give you his details if you are in this area.
It is terrible that he did not atleast take the time to explain and comfort you guys.

@P4M1 - I think you have a very good chance hun. It is just early to get a BFP. Wait two more days and test again with a midstream test or CB digi.

@ Mrs Smith & The Mrs - maybe AF is not on the cards for you two ladies this cycle and instead a BFP. That would be super awesome.

@Jaybee - Did your doctor phone you yet with your test results?

So... went to Dr Miceli yesterday. What a mistake. We get in there and I hand him the sperm analysis results so he looks over it and says well there isnt much we can do you probably need to get a sperm donor or maybe do another procedure to try and find viable sperm. He literally did a 1 minute exam on my husband and referred DH for blood tests. Not a "this is what we can do" or a "Im so sorry to hear about this situation". I felt like we were wasting his precious time.

I wish I could find somewhere to complain about this Doctor because I would hate for any other couples going through this to have to deal with someone who is so soul destroying.
