@ Mrs Smith, I agree with you and know how it feels. I used to use them with every cycle and most times twice a day and never got positives. I think i got a positive one cycle and never again. My Gyna says that he has no faith in them as he has come across a few of his patients who said they never got positives and did ovulate. Ai its all so confusing.

We have also tried the SMEP before but my ovulation dates has always been a guessing game so it didn't work for us.

Holding thumbs that you will get your positive tomorrow!

This is my first month using them.
To be totally honest, I'm not sure I'll buy them again. Getting negative after negative after negative is almost as demoralising as constant negative hpts.

Thanks Mrs Smith, I am in two minds in buying OPK's as worried they won't work for me but maybe the digital will be easier to read :)

Welcome Dej177, I hope your stay is short :) Are you charting your cycles?

I bought the 7 pack (digis). I think they only come in 7 packs. The Clearblue Easy (the one with lines) includes 1 hpt. The digis don't. But both are packs of 7.

Welcome Dej177. I hope you get your bfp soon.
I think it is usually recommended to give your body 3 months to stabilise after stopping the pill so essentially after those initial 3 months your chances are as good as anyone elses :)

We will be BD on CD10, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21

Did you ladies buy the Clearblu 7 pack of OPK's? I can't seem to find single packets or do they only come in the 7?

Hello ladies

I stopped taking the pill end of January 2015 (Melodene), we are trying for a baby.
How long does it take for the body to get back to normal after being on the pill for 4 years. At 38 how long does it take to get pregnant? Menses were back to normal in Feb.

We're mostly following smep, but I've modified it slightly LoL.

SMEP says to bd every second day, starting on CD 8. Then when you get a positive opk you bd every day for 3 days, skip one day, then once more for luck.

We started on CD 5, and are doing odd days. So we bd'd CD 5, 7 and 9 and 11 so far.
We almost always bd in the mornings, so this month I'm switching it up. CD 5 and 7 were in the mornings, so 48 hours apart. CD 9 was late at night, almost midnight, then CD 11 was morning, so 36 hours apart. Then we'll bd again tonight, CD 12, which will again be 36 hours apart. (so every 1.5 days). We'll continue the 36 hour gaps until I get my smiley face and then every night for 3 nights.
I'm so scared of missing it that's why i've narrowed the gap to every 36 hours rather than 48 now that I think I'm approaching ov.

So CD 5 and 7 were just in case, but not really counting towards baby-making.
Then CD 9, 11, 12 etc are 36 hours apart, every 1.5 days.
After positive opk it'll be every 24 hours.
