TheMrs - I am busy with fertility treatment with my Fertility Specialist. We're going to do IUI. So he has put me on 100mg Fertomid and Gonal F injections.
So normally you scan on CD8 & CD10 (Depending on your follicle size). This is done at the FS rooms. It's like a normal sonar.
They do IUI on CD 14, depending on the size. Normally they want the follicles to be between 18mm - 22mm. That is when sperm can penetrate the egg

Liza - 50mg never worked for me, so I had to take 100mg. I had some side effects previously, so I changed to drinking it at night at about 20:30. I have NO side effects now.

So, we scanned yesterday and I have 3 nice big follies (between 11mm-13mm). There's some small ones in between, but 3 is good enough. I will scan again tmorrow on CD10. Hopefully we can do IUI on Monday

@ Liza, if one is not ovulating on 50mg then normally the dose is uped to 100mg. Thats why I had to go for the Progesterone test but luckily my levels were nice and high so no need to up the dose
Why is the gyna uping your dose? Will you be starting the pills today?

@ Chanti, yes positive thoughts!! Today I have no symptoms whatsoever and on CD11. If AF doesn't show up this weekend I am testing on Monday. When are you going to test?

I'm also going for my three things tomorrow that's if I find them all at clicks, I will also check at Checkers, because they seem to stock a variety of things.

I'm going to switch this phone off now!!! Stop this anxiety and try and nod off to dreamland....

Thandi, also drink plenty of water. My list is the same as yours, minus the green tea, because I have it. I knew drinking lemon juice makes your body alkaline, but I didn't think it did either when I heard it..

If you do a search, you'll find this "Lemon juice - It's a citrus fruit. Inside the body however, when lemon juice has been fully metabolized and its minerals are dissociated in the bloodstream, its effect is alkalizing and therefore raises the pH of body tissue (pH above 7 is alkaline)."

As far as pre-seed goes, it's not cheap. But yout can get it at Dischem. Its almost R400! I think I'll rely on my body producing enough ewcm for now, even though I didn't have much last pre- ovaluation. I am going to get chasteberry and opk's tomorrow, I didn't have time today.

I find I can't stop thinking about ttc at night lying in bed.. I need to turn my brain off, but I haven't tried meditation.

They say we must not stress, but I'm having sleepless nights already, been having them for quiet some time since I decided to TTC #2. I think I should try meditation.

Does anyone here meditate? How do you relax your bodies? I'm constantly tense...

Mrs Smith, you are onto something regarding green tea, honey and lemon. Increase the lemon, it makes your body less acidic, therefore a healthier, less acidic foofoo, which sperm prefer.

Who would have thought.. (not going to take the chance!, just found it interesting).

Olive Oil: Olive oil is a wonderful tip for getting pregnant and may be used in the same manner and for the same reasons as Pre-Seed (see above). All natural oils such as olive oil may be safely used as a lube during baby-making-sex if you happen to be too dry or don't produce enough ewcm. Doesn't alter pH balance and therefore sperm friendly. Some of you may be concerned about using natural oils such as olive oil. These oils will not cause infection as they are natural plant oils and are readily absorbed into the skin and are nutritive to the body.
