Jay-Bee - if AF is about to hit then I don't think med-lemon will be too bad. If you're approaching ov though then I would avoid it as it contains drying meds, to help dry up the snot etc, and that would therefore also affect CM and make it not great for sperm.
I personally love half a cup of black rooibos, with a big spoon full of honey, an orange or two squeezed in, and then half a lemon squeezed in as well. Works wonders.

Nikita - sorry to hear you're also feeling so ill. I really hope it passes quickly. My favourite remedy is the one listed above. Another good one which we're currently using (but it takes a bit of prep so won't necessarily work for you right now) is to put some garlic cloves in some raw honey and keep in an airtight container for a few months. Kind of like a natural antibiotic (just release the gas build up a few times in the initial weeks). You could crush some garlic and eat that as is though. Garlic is a fantastic natural antibiotic. If you could even swallow a whole clove like a pill that's great. I struggle with that though. If you start coughing or are struggling with really thick mucous etc, then chop an onion, cover with honey, let it steep like that for about 4 hours, then strain the onion out (the honey will become quite runny from all the liquid it's extracted out the onion). A spoon of that every few hours is great for coughs and loosening mucous. It tastes quite strong though (hubby says it reminds him of the morning after heartburn from eating McD's! ) I also often in the winter put 1 drop of tea tree oil on our collars before going to work/school. Kills the bugs in the air around us before we breathe them in. Also helps kill bugs in your airways just by breathing the vapours.
Other good things are saline nasal rinses and gargling with salt water.

Holding thumbs your AF doesn't arrive!

Carien - holding thumbs the witch also doesn't arrive for you.
I will PM you about the story that was mentioned.

AFM - Getting really excited about this weekend! CM is increasing which is making me really eager to start the opks! Really should wait until Saturday. Most of me thinks I will but the over-eager bit thinks I might just do one tomorrow LoL. CD8 for me today. Expecting to ov on Tuesday. Hoping for a positive opk on Sunday/Monday.

Hello Ladies,
Hope everyone is well :)

I have been out of action a bit with exams of which I wrote the last one yesterday thank goodness!!

I have been trying to read through everything but have to say I just kind of scanned.

Welcome to the new ladies, @TheMrs and @Thandi <-- I take my hat off to you!! This might be a very stupid question, and really sorry if its too personal (or if someone has asked it and you have already answered) but how do you do a home transfer? Only thing that I can think of is what I have seen on TV which is turkey baster (which sounds a bit far fetched, but like I said, really don't know).

@MrsSmith - really sorry to ask but I saw someone said something about a birth story of yours? Dont want to be rubbing salt in the wound but would love to know your story, is there a link?

AFM - pretty sure I'm out of the running this cycle. Currently on CD27 with temp dramatically dropping yesterday so should be just a matter of time. Really hoping I can fend off AF just a couple of days more b/c my DH will be traveling for business when I am in my ext green window if she rears her ugly head today/tomorrow, really hoping she can hold off till just maybe Saturday.

GL to all the ladies still in the running :)

Morning ladies,

@Jay-Bee - I hope you feel better soon. It is terrible, I have been feeling under the weather since Monday, I feel feverish and just not my old self. Last night I took a nice warm bath and afterwards I rubbed some wicks on my chest, but that did not help :(

@Nix - GL with the opk's. I am also going to buy different opk's for my new cycle

@Mrs Smith - could you please share your natural remedies secrets with us? I really don't want to go to the doctor, they always prescribe antibiotics and I am not a fan

AF should arrive today, but bbt is still high 36.7, it normally drops to 36.1. BBT has been high since the 15th, I think the fever is also playing a very big roll in it. I have had normal AF cramps since Tuesday, not as bad as the previous month (I am very thankful for that)

Have a wonderful day

@ Liza, I have read that the side effects of Fertomid is much worse than the dosage that we have been taking. Maybe take it slightly earlier evening to avoid them. Its a good plan to go for the progesterone test but are you going on CD16 then? Just asking as its normally 7 days after ovulation which they say CD21 normally but one doesn't always ovulate on CD14 but slightly a few days later. I went on CD23. I have a good feeling about this cycle for you! :)

@ Mrs Smith, I hear this flu is going around here and even I feel under the weather today. The natural remedies and fruit is a good idea, do you think the Med Lemon sachets are bad during ttc? I have a box here and might ant to take one.

AFM, last night I had a few really bad stabbing pains and now its dull cramps. AF is on her way as I had a big temp drop this morning and craving chocolate....

Started the opk testing yesterday evening, very feint line. Tested this evening (cd 17) and the line is darker but still lighter than the control. Will carry on and see if it gets darker. Will buy CB next time if I don't get a darker line, not sure when/if I ov so will do them until I can figure it out. Had a lot of creamy cm today so maybe I'm getting close...time will tell
