AFM im on CD13 and due to ovulate in tbe next 2 days....hopefully this month will be ours....last week was my birthday and we still trying to find tym to actually celebrate....its been frustrating and i have been super moody....i get along well enough with my in laws but sumtimes i feel they are too controling as we can never be truly alone(i live on my own but see them every single day)

@ Chanti HAPPY DANCE!!! Our cycle would most probably start around mid Oct. Transfer is everything goes to plan first week Nov. So great to have a cycle buddy!!

I've already transferred the monies for the IVF it's just the meds that we need to pay when we get them.

Goodness that is really alot of travelling that you guys need to do. But it's going to be so worth it in the end!!!

@Anzel - It is so difficult making the decision to go forward with IVF when it is so costly! We are doing this cycle with money we have saved/donations received from family and if it doesnt work we have decided we will immediately take out a loan to try again. We are young enough to recover financially from any debt needed to be taken out and figure that at this stage we can't put a price on a baby and don't want to wait another two years when my endo could really take everything over. We don't know what the future holds and our opinions might change but at the moment we are giving it our everything!! I don't think I would gamble this amount of money on anything else though, we are crazy! It's a great idea to start saving where you can in anyway so that atleast you have a backup. Its great that your cars,etc are paid off!

@Thaier - Im sorry hun I can't offer any advice, have you managed to find out anything more?

AFM, we finally received our plan for IVF!! Treatments start 26 Oct, retrieval will be about 6/7 November and can hopefully try a fresh transfer aroung the 12 Nov. We will have to make about 7/8 trips to the clinic during the cycle which is about a 500km roundtrip so I think that alone is going to exhuast us! So excited and terrified at the same time. All your prayers will be appreciated.

@ Anzel i actually have a box of 4 applicators of Conceive + which we are going to use this month. You never know! Since my last purchase in Dec last year i haven't seen it on the shelves again.

Then hubby is taking Fertilaid (which is damn expensive!) and i'm using Staminogro and a multivitamin. Hopefully his little swimmers does the job

We have a appointment with the FS in Oct just before we start our cycle, and i was thinking of asking if he is planning to do IVF or ICSI.

@Liza - I hear you... IUI is only effective if count is high, but problem with motility/volume. Then they can sort out those little buggers, and only insert those that can move it, move it!

Being debt free is our biggest goal at the moment. Both our cars are paid off, and most of our clothing accounts and both credit cards are also clean. We only have the bond left, which is a shitload of money each month - We should here today if they are going to increase the interests rates again... So let's see what happens. I agree with you - I also don't want debt throughout a pregnancy or when baby is born.

Ag, I'm probably just being negative, but I'm trying my hardest to stay hopeful and positive and trust God. It's not always easy, but I know He is in control and He has a plan. I just wish I knew His plan...

@Anzel i was really hoping to try IUI first as it is way less than IVF but because Hubby sperm count is only 8 million they said it is not possible, After washing and sorting them there wouldn't be enough.

Were doing our first cycle of IVF in Oct and if that does not work we'll safe and try again mid year 2017. Our total price for the IVF is R15 000 and the meds between 8 -10 Thousand. IVF would not have been an option for us if the FS hadn't given us the special prices. (Sometimes it helps to have friends/contacts)

Trying to stay debt free while TTC i think on its own is a challenge! We decided to do one cycle out of our savings. The next cycle should there be we will save up first. For us making a loan ext is out of the question. I really do not want any extra debt when pregnant of even after the baby is here!
