Time to begin TTC 2018!

Good Evening Ladies!

I have been MIA for so long, i have a lot of catching up to do!

So glad to see all the familiar faces here and a few new ones

Our IVF has been delayed however AF has only showed up today so we officially start tomorrow with our injections )) Soooo excited about this!

I have been on Glucophage for almost a month now, and I must say I have almost lost 3kg so I am so happy about this!

Our next scan appointment is the 3rd of October to check how the follicles are growing!

@jaybee thanks I should maybe see at another clicks then because R245 is a bit more reasonable and hubby won't kill me for spending so much more than we budgeted for. I'm going to try leaving my thermometer where I will see it the moment I get up lol

@nicola I want to try the CB. From what I've read it is the best. I tried the dischem brand and didn't like it, got a positive OPK in Feb but according to my FS at the time I never ovulated despite the positive OPK... It's such a worry with opks we place so much trust in them but which one we can trust for accurate results.... frustrated is not even a word I could use anymore.

I'm feeling a bit isolated in CT don't really know many people and I'm on my own Saturday night. DH is having a boys might with an old friend of his and he's single not looking forward to this weekend

@Ayesha that's expensive, I got my CBdigital from Dischem pack of 10 for R249 - works out the same as buying the cheaper ones in a pack of 4 or 5. Not too convinced now with the CB but i'll give it another try next month when I have blood tests just so see! tempted to try another type at the same time but i'll be wasting a lot of money haha!

@ Carien, I use yogurt when I get an infection and it works perfectly. TMI I have a small syringe which I fill with the yogurt and insert it. I do this a couple of times in the shower twice a day,for a few days. It has to be the unsweetened, natural with live yogurt cultures.
I was also on this forum from 2015 then had a baby and now back to ttc our second.

@ Bridge, I am routing for you that you get your BFP on Sunday

@ Ayesha, I buy the Clicks CB Digital for R265 for a pack of 10. I temp first thing in the morning and leave the thermometer on the kitchen counter. Holding thumbs for you, not feeling pregnant is a good sign too!

@ Chanti, sorry to hear that AF could be on its way. It is so stressful

AFM, CD8 and patiently waiting for ovulation and charting very precisely

@ayesha - That is really awesome. I'm so interested to see if you ovulate again and how things turn out.

@CarienM- I have been hanging around here since 2015 and there have been loads of ladies come through here and move to the pregnancy groups. I hope you are able to clear things up with home remedies, people also use yoghurt and things like that??? Not too sure.

AFM, the spotting started yesterday... Its consistent which makes me think AF is def arriving by tomorrow unfortunately... It makes me stressed out as the longer I try and conceive naturally the worse my endo could get... I'm just praying God will lead the way and show me what to do. The original plan is to try for 3 months and then go back onto Visanne and wait for the FET next year. It's all quite draining though, not keeping up with the pressure.

@Nicola that's alot, don't know if the pricing differs from place to place. As for the sweet tooth I'm in the same club. I am a self confessed #chocoholic. I cannot give it up. Surprisingly enough I actually like the carrot and ginger juice it's really nice. Where did you buy the CB OPK from? I looked at clicks for next month and they had it for like R365 for 10. That's really out of budget for us. The clicks brand showed positive for me but I've seen alot of complaints on it's unreliability.

AFM I had slight pains in my ovaries last night had a positive OPK on friday night so don't know how to explain the pains. I am so forgetful and keep forgetting to temp everyday it's a little frustrating. The TWW is playing on my mind but for the first time im not symptom spotting. I just don't feel pregnant at all like weird but don't think it's our month.

@Ayesha oh wow that is not bad at all! I had a friend who paid around R2000 for her first consult & meds which we just can't afford at the moment! I want to try find someone here in Blouberg I defo want to look into this! We eat pretty healthy and I do have my spinach/apple/banana smoothies every morning but i'll give the carrot/ginger one a try! I just have a very bad sweet tooth haha!! Really admire you all...some of you have been through absolutely awful times and still remain so strong. Praying for you all....our miracles are coming
