@ Cariem, can you maybe give me the brand name of the strips, if you don't mind? It is a good price and I think that I am also going to use them just to check my pH as don't have a clue what it is.

@Jay-Bee01 - yes I do use the test strips, just got it at dischem, its a little roll that you can just tear off a piece as you need it, they have hellofa expensive ones as well whic are those ones that jus thave the two colour thingies on them, but these strips work just as well and cost quite a lot less (think the roll I bought was R80 and i only used a little bit of it)

Wishing everyone a great weekend, good luck for the ladies trying to catch the eggie this weekend, hope it goes well :)

@ Reece, sounds like you have the whole charting/temping down to a T. Holding thumbs that this is your cycle for a BFP as your eggies seems nice and big. Holding thumbs for you! Yes nice to have a cycle buddy :)

@ Cariem, she also took Calcium pills, went on a diet so ate all healthy veg/fruit and loads of yogurt and cheese and only BD a few days before O. Definitely no salt, potassium or any preservative or fast foods. Her sways do work as she has boy and a girl. I also considered testing my pH but then decided against it as thought it would be too much of an effort. Do you use the strips to test and if so where did you buy them? I have heard about the extreme swayers and some even go with moon phases but that it a bit too much for me.

AFM, still a negative OPK.

I am officially out for this cycle since AF came in fast and furious a little bit ago...was kind of expecting it since yesterday so at least I think I had most of the disappointment yesterday. Did buy some vino for tonight, think I deserve it! So 25 day cycle it is, seems like its more 25 than 26, but I am (relatively) sure I'm ovulating on CD13.

@Jay-Bee01 - what did your sister do to say pink? And did it work? We are trying the timing thing and then I'm taking calcium and magnesium supplements and staying away from salt and things potassium related. I started to check my ph this past cycle, and seems like I was a bit on the acidic side which is what we need. I guess we just have to get the timing thing right. I have heard about this LE (lite everything) diet for the seriously serious swayers but I think that is a bit on the extreme side for me.

Jay-Bee, Just a little bit ahead of me! :) That's awesome!
I use Fertility Friend and it normally shows that I ovulated after 3 elevated temps. I also test with OPK until CD14 (or until they become negative after the positives (sometimes 2 x days of positives).

Oh wow! Your sister must be very consistent in her swaying! That's amazing!
Yes, I have also tried the timing to be on OV but I just never fell pregnant, so after 5 cycles we are doing the every other day and BD through ovulation. Even though doctor said that boy timing will be tomorrow night and Sunday, I'm so scared that I will miss it, so I will try and look for other signs of ovulation which is the cramping, the EWCM and the cervical position.

Good luck with testing! We should join each other again in the TTW if we're both due to ovulate within the next day or two.

Good luck.

@ Ayesha, sorry that AF arrived and 5 days early as well :headbang:

@ Cariem, I also have 26 day cycles. My sister swayed boy for her first, girl for her second and going to try and sway boy again; she swears by it :silly:  - You are not out this cycle yet, FX

@ Reece, I am on CD15 so just in front of you. That's good news that you have nice sized eggies :woohoo: Does your temp stay elevated after CD12/13 and do you continue using the OPK till CD12/13? You are spot on as trying for a boy you only have really once chance. We are going to try for a boy for one cycle and if that doesn't work then we will BD every second day from CD8.

AFM, using the digital OPK and have not received a smiley face yet and I normally ovulate on CD16/17 and am on CD15  . Going to test again later today.
