Morning ladies,

Andy - How are you? i hope you home and feeling a bit better.

Laliek - Shame sorry you have so much pain! Let us know what FS says today.

Meags - I was in the same boat before we conceived our LG. My DH insisted we wait about 6months after I mentioned the thought. It was the most frustrating thing ever! But it was so worth the wait. DH enjoyed the TTC when HE was ready. You only have 3 months to wait, it will go quickly. How often do u go for Gyn check ups, paps etc? Its probably a good idea to go for a check up before TTC. And also to start taking Folic Acid. Oh and have a dental check up...you cant have any dentistry done while preg!

Lucy - Have you squizzed at my chart today. Ive only had a slight temp increase. :( Im guessing I havent O'd this month. Arrrrrgh!!
Ive been doing OPKs but the all faint. Have u ever had a really dark opk? Cos I see on your charts that you have marked a few "postive"opks.

Kimika - Woohoo...Im excited to hear from you this morning!! Come on hurry up! You havent even updated your chart yet.

Hayley - How you feeling today - any more symptoms?

Tracy - How was round 3??? I wish my DH was over eager! He just seems to go with the flow!

AFM - CD15 today and honestly Im not sure if Ive O'd yet. I had a few aches and pains on sunday night and yesterday but who knows. I havent had any substantial EWCM. But i wonder if the lack of EWCM could be from Clomid?
But anyway..Im sticking to my BD schedule..regardless!

Hi girls!

Getting ready to go to bed but quickly logging on to see updates.

Kimika - I kinda think your going to get that BFP.... :woohoo:

Meags - the blood is subsiding a little bit but I'm still very very sore. Bleeding is extremely clotty I think that's why it's so flippen sore - I'll see what FS said tomorrow, thanks for the heads up!

Lizzy, here's some averages on hcg levels week to week. Remember it's not the count of hcg that shows on multiples but it's the doubling time, so if you double about every 12 or 24 hours then it's most likely multiples, the counts aren't that indicative, as long as it goes up

Weeks after conception and hCG levels:
0-1 week: 0-50 IU/L
1-2 weeks: 40 - 300
3-4: 500 - 6,000
1-2 months: 5,000 - 200,000
2-3 months: 10,000 - 100,000
2nd trimester: 3,000 - 50,000
3rd trimester: 1,000 - 50,000
Non-pregnant females: <5.0
Postmenopausal: <9.5

As you can see, there is great variation in hCG levels. It isn't the absolute value that matters in these results, but the change in values. In a viable embryo, doubling generally takes place every 36 hours.

Kimika that is so exciting!!!!! and how cute of your DH to go buy the test :) I hope my DH will be as excited one day!!

I think it's ridiculous that you have to be in the medical field to do lactation. It's so unfair?? I'm sure there are so many women who would love to do it but cant because of that...they should really re-consider their requirements...

so tomorrow is french lesson no.2...sigh...I feel like I'm wasting my time??
Dh tried to speak french with me tonight but only for like 5 minutes which doesnt exactly help much.

So I have 3kg to lose and I am so demotivated. Part of me is soooo motivated and the other part is thinking "dont make yourself miserable...just live life and enjoy"
right now...I prefer the second part of my thoughts...

Meags, shame man, its really horrible to want it soo bad and you cant even begin your ttc journey! For you I really hope time flies like crazy and that September can be here soon!! In the meantime I hope you can spend lots of time here with all the ttc girls.. youll be so clued up that you can start to practise as a midwife specialising in fertility!

Her name is Jennifer Naude, she is in Pretoria East and her nr is 0832166893. She said she also hosts the La leche league meetings there and Ill attend them. I know there is a lady in jhb area that does exactly the same as she does but I dont have her nr. Maybe if pta is too far then she can refer you to someone closer to you. It really is the perfect thing for you to do! Combines very well with your midwivery & doula qualifications. Im almost jealous of you.. but there is nooo way Im doing a whole midwivery or doula course! I just wish they would create a course or diploma specilising in lactation without combining it with nursing! I mean seriously why not??

Hi ladies

I have wanted to reply ALL day but have had such a strange and hectic day!
I have offically started french lessons...whoop whoop!

Kimika that is so sad about the lactation course :( and so unfair. i'm sorry but being a nurse/midwife is not the same as being a lactation consultant at all! what a pity for you :( one day you'll find something :)
would you mind giving me that lady's number?

tracy, enjoy round 3!
lizzy, so excited about your count and look forward to hearing the count on wednesday!!! fx for you for multiples :) it's such a blessing :)

hayley thanks for the update on jellybabies aunt :) she did sms me too. so glad the baby is FINALLY out and all is well

laliek are you bleeding heavily? please be careful of too much blood loss. if it is a MC you can lose a lot of blood and require a blood transfusion so if you feel weak or your tongue becomes pale, go to hospital xx

hello to everyone else! sorry if I forgot to comment on something that was special to someone!! I cant scroll to the next page while replying so hope I havent forgotten anyone!!

as for me...I'm a little emotional today :( really just want a flippin baby already. or at least want to be TTC. I cant push DH anymore though...think it's already lucky he's considering September! Patience, patience, patience :)
