Meags- My DH would have sex once every 6 months given the choice. He's always been like that. I know why he has a low libido but I had to make him realise that I have needs too. We still don't do it very often (o.k except when TTC I finally managed to get him to BD 5 times I 1 month) probably once every month or even sometimes every 2 months. He understands I have needs so I partake in 'self help' when I really feel the need although it's not nearly the same. I love my DH very much and decided to accept his problems if he will accept my occasional need. I would like to do the deed at least once a week but that actually would put more strain on my marriage than me just going without. When it came to TTC I told him what he would have to do and he was happy to 'deal' with it as long as it was for a good cause but he wanted the baby right now as did I. I'm sure when he is also ready to have a baby your DH will perform when needed but I think he probably feels you're trying to push him into making a baby sooner than you had agreed. You came here saying you were going to TTC from Dec but your talk sounds like you are hoping it will now be sooner. Maybe if ytou can just hold out a little longer DH will be more comfortable with it. Maybe you could have a loop inserted temporarily until you are both in a good place to BD. A loop is a perfect answer to current contraception because as soon as you have it removed you are fertile. I'm sure your DH's inability to hold an erecrtion is because he is scared you'll get pregnant. You both need to want it at the same time or a baby will not work.
