HCG pregnancy test is a specialized test for pregnancy. Its mechanism is that this strip has HCG enzymes which react with HCG present in urine to give a colored substance which is seen as colored lines on the strip. Dettol, on other hand, is a disinfectant which does not react with HCG. Many people think it produces oily substance if the person is pregnant. It does not have any scientific basis so for more reliable results you should perform HCG kit test. Hope this helps.

With Jayden I did the dettol test and it made a nice white layer on top....did it again a year or so later when I thought I was pregnant, and it mixed Nothing to go by, but plenty of women did it and was pregnant, the other did it, it mixed but was pregnant too

there is also some kind of leaf you can pee on and its supposed to turn red. not sure what kind of leaf though!

Bbbbbwwwaaahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont you know the Dettol test???? You wee in a glass or something that is clear and you add Dettol to your urine and if it mixes you not pregnant or if it forms a waxy layer on the top then your pregnant...
