Why is he doing the test so early after suspected ov?

So im back after waiting an hr to see Dr Lingham...

What a nice gynae he is, he just did a pap smear (which by the way) i hate with an absolute passion
And just did a scan and he noticed fluid behind my womb and he asked "did you not miss a period" well i looked at him with shock on my face and said "no" hoping he would give me some good news...

He needs to wait until i get AF this month and if not and im pregnant then wonderful, if AF does pitch i need to inform him and he will then book me in for a Laprascopy and a Hysterscopy (spelling)?????????

He wants me to go for a Day 21 Progersterone test which is tomorrow and im alittle worried its not gonna pick up on anything as i will only be 4DPO

So that's my update, not very exciting...
