Hi ladies. I thought i was the only one! We had such a rough night last night. He woke up every few minutes and refused to sleep in his cot. I then put him in the bed and i couldn't sleep because i'm not used to having him sleep in the bed. I hope this doesn't last a month because he's only 5 months now.

Morning all. Not a great night unfortunately.
1.30 dummy run
3.45 pick up cuddle and rock to sleep (dh took this yay!)
5.00 dummy
5.30 pick up cuddle etc
6.15 dummy (dh again)
7.00 wake up

So not too bad I guess. Should probably have let him wake up at 6.15 but we were a bit shattered! Going to go wear him out at the aquarium today I think!!

I'ce tried bringing him into bed with us but then he is soo wriggly and won't sleep. Shame C are you working today? I couldn't cope. Chat later, xx

Okay so no such luck, he woke again at 3.45 so brought him to bed with me and the rest of the night was restless. Jacadabra he is defitely sleeping less soundly and not able to soothe himself back to sleep:) hope you had an okay night 1st timer!

Woohooo, it's 3am and it's the first wake up, which is better than last night so hopefully we are at the turning point! Hopefully he goes down for a stretch longer than an hour now???

Thanks Jacadebra! I agree so much re the manual!!!
I was just saying to hubbie James has been quite clingy. 2 of his naps over the past 3-4 days have been on me because he wouldn't let me put him down.
Hopefully tonight will be better for us both Claudia!?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. It really is frustrating.

With my son, every single time he cut teeth, he would wake up hourly for a week or two. He wouldn't be screaming or in agony or anything but could not soothe himself back to sleep like he normally could. The only other symptom he had was that he was super clingy and more demanding than usual - no temp/ no diaper differences or anything.

Aside from that it could be the apple... it could be 6 month growth spurt... it could be a new milestone - rolling/ crawling that he is starting to master.

Whatever it is, I hope it passes soon for you.

Where the heck was the manual when the baby arrived anyway lol
