Girly, i'm using huggies gold no.3 and it doesn't have blue gel. The nappy is totally white.
Memo, i've had no problems with staining or the fastener breaking off. Liam's last nappy change is at 9pm and he sleeps through with the same nappy until 6am and no leaks. The only time we had a few leaks was when we needed to change to a bigger size.

ATM I'm using pampers no 2's and family have bought so many 3s that i'll probably stick with them unless it gives me a ptoblem.

I heard the other day that the huggies gold 3's the blue gel is staining babys legs and bum - so seems maybe some 'dud' packs around.

O my gosh! I must just add, again, that I hate huggies so much... The new pack that I've bought out of desperation. thinking it miight be better than the last (the dark green pack) The print gives off on my lb vests. So the whole crutch area is green! And, whilst changing him at 3am again last night, another one of the side thingy's snapped off!
Today I must just bite the bullet and buy some pampers.
Or is it perhaps time for me to change to cloth.. mmmm

Hi, I used Pampers for the first 3 months (just because it was a bit cheaper than the huggies gold), but since then I have been using Huggies Gold as it seems to be a bit thicker than Pampers nappies and also stays firmer for a bit longer. They are now priced more or less the same as the Pampers Active @ Toys R US.

Also, Toys R us are having a special at the moment - Pampers Active - 2 x Jumbo packs for R245 and you get a pack of wipes free (They usually go for R150 a pack).
Baby & Company are selling their Huggies Gold Jumbo packs for R140 a pack iso R155 :)

Loved Pampers Newborn (?) no 1 and 2, yellow packaging, then tried around at the cheaper nappies but still find Huggies Gold worth it. Buy the double banded pack on special at either Baby City, TOysRus, Pnp etc and it works out at about R1,75 per nappy (size 3) with free wet wipes pack. You eventually get into the specials cycle.

With baba 2 on way in Jan, I'll buy one size one month, and the other the next month. Shop around!

Also very little nappy rash, but if does appear, at first sight, treat! I dont use bum cream very sparingly, especailly in beginning. Was told, to much creams prevent nappy from absorbing properly.
