I haven't had any 'extras' yet - but I asked about the ones like the MMR and so forth, and she does them - (not sure about cost) and taking him next week for vitamin drops

@ JeanineK what other shots did ur lo get as I would like to get my little one as well, speaking of Clicks if your LO was born at a govt clinic/hospital u get free shots from ur clicks pharmacy on thursdays

Jeanine, where is this lovely pharmacy that you take your lo to? I go to a link in Northcliff and they charge me R150, would love to save another couple of bucks!

My closest govt clinic does babies on tuesdays - I was gone the next week, and felt tue was bit early (6 week jabs), since Willem was only 6 weeks on friday.
(and there was NO WAY I was taking him to Randburg!!!)

Asked around - found a lovely clinic sister at a local pharmacy. Does govt, only costs me R40 clinic fee. All week, and open Saturday mornings!

Can also take him to her for any additional shots that govt doesn't do, will just pay those myself.

Longest I ever waited was 10 minutes.
Never did go back to govt one...

We go to Clicks for the govt ones, but only because I cannot find a list of the govt clinics to know where-else to go!

i'm also with goverment, the only thing i hate abt it it's that you have to wait, so i take my baby to the one her in Rivonia they are so quick, wednesdays it's babies.

i once took my baby tothe clinic in jan for the ear thing, she was pulling, srcathing and it got me worried i told the nurse/ sisters there, this other one was rude to me and said do u mean that wen i scratch my nose it mean that i have a nose proble, yeses!!! then i was fumming i wanted to tell her where to get off, she really pised me off.

i just took a deep breathe and told her that is why i'm here to find out if ther is anything wrong withteh babies ear, i just left, yeses!!! i felt like my ASS was on fire!!!

just that the proble with them is that they don't respect us the patients

they Nanny said i could be teething, babies don't teeth the same, but lately she is not scratching an pulling anymore.
