Co-sleeping mom all the way here too :)

We have a queen size bed and even then we could not fit everyone as both K and I sleep like a startfish :) Lol! Anyways we had another 3/4 bed which was leveled with our queen size bed so we joined the 2 bed together to make a super big bed and enough space for everyone to sleep.

I really enjoy co-sleeping and for me its really very special to snuggle up with K and feeling her little body close by. Also I work in the day so I have limited time with her in the week so co-sleeping allows e and her to have our special moment. I sleep at the same time as her too so DH comes and tucks both of us in for the night :)

K will only move out when she is ready or if a second baby comes along. Otherwise we are quite appy with her being in our bed.

Kaylee slept in her camp cot in our room from birth. Her room is the other end of the house (small enough house but far enough away that I dont like the idea of her being so far from me).

Although when she gets niggly in the night its far easier to settle her in our bed and move her back when she's sleeping. But if she stirs after 5am she comes into the bed. DH has often slept on the couch just so that she can fall asleep, then he sommer stays all night.

I dont see the need at this age (8,5months) for her to be away from us. She is a baby, she needs to feel secure and loved and I have no issue keeping her in our room until she is ready to go into a bed.
Also much easier as I am still breastfeeding & she wakes 2-3 times a night, I feed her lying on the bed and stay warm, sometimes I fall asleep like that and wake up with her next feed and her still next to me. She also isnt a big cuddler, I cant cuddle her in my arms but she loves cudding in the bed. Its a very special bonding time.

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

My son slept in his own room in his cot from the day we got home from hospital, and never had any problems. I think it is important for them to have their own space. I only really got up quite a bit in the first month. But with monitors, I was content that he was okay and we all slept well including him.

I think if you have the space, set baby up a room of his own. I do have a queen bed in his room, and when we had a really bad night if I had to go through one too many times I would just lie on the bed there an snooze until he woke again. So if you can do that, great. I am not sure of the benefits of co-sleeping, I know there are a lot of moms who love it. I just think we all need a decent nights rest and with all of us in the bed, I am not sure we can have that, unless we had two king size beds :-)

we have a VERY LOUD sleeper, and we moved our boy from our room to his campcot in his own room when he was 5 days old. It REALLy sounds cruel, and i crucified myself for days - but it really worked well. He had a breath and sound monitor, and we NEVER left him crying. The only downside was getting up for breastfeeding every 3 hours, and sitting for an hour to have him finish his feed. OI!

At 4 months he is now sooo adaptable as to where he can fall asleep, and he is a dream traveller due to that. So moving him to his room so soon really worked for us. We are thinking of moving him from his campcot to his big boy bed when the winter is over...

Like dylan he is also sleeptrained, and sleeps very well - but it might be that we just have an easy baby!

Lb slept next to our bed in his cot up to 5 months. Then moved him to his own room in his cot. Two nights later he slept through. He awakes 4 in the morning and then we would go pick him up and cuddle a bit until we get up at 5. My sister still struggles to get her kids (boy 7 and twins almost 4) in their own rooms and beds.
