Mandymel, my son only got his first tooth @ 11 months. He is 23 months now and has 13 teeth.

Anina! Stian has exactly the same teeth as Stefan and they cut in the same order! How weird is that?! (For the rest - Stian and Stefan was born on the same day and cut their first toothie on the same day as well!)

My beautiful daugter born on the 23rd of February 2007 @ 40 weeks, induction, natural delivery with epidural. Weighed 3,25kg at birth.

My gorgeous son born on the 23rd of June 2009 @ 40 weeks, induction, natural delivery. Weighed 3,28kg at birth.

I agree with Julz, it's better when they teeth later.
My daughter started teething at 3 months and i hated seeing her in so much pain. She used to pull her ears and gums were swollen.
She is 6 months old and 4 teeth already. And....a biter!!!

Looks like i'm going to have a bugs bunny too coz my baby's gums are really swollen at the top!

And the sister told us as well when we went for our last vaccination that kids who get teeth later actually are at a better advantage as their teeth aren't exposed as much to milk and sugary things just as you say julzdylan...I'm just relieved that i'm not the only one with a late bloomer, will let everyone no when that first tooth makes its appearance :)

@ Rhodine, give him time. Its amazing how much their vocab increases from 18 months. Don't worry about it unless he is almost turning 2 and still only saying under 10 words. Some kids just do this later and it doesn't mean that they are not clever. My uncle started talking at 4 (before that it was basic words and baby talk) and he is very very very intellegent.

@Mandy, i think its more common to get the bottom ones, but my lb also only has his 2 top ones. He looks so funny, I keep on calling him my little bunny and my sister says its because I'm so strict with his food that all the vegetables confused his teeth:)
