thank you all so much for your advice! ;-) i bought the nystacid and bactroban creams. It seems to be clearing but quite slowly. I will look at getting the other products mentioned as well - the bum cream from bellville pharmacy sounds like a winner too. I'm so glad I have this forum to help me through!

Nystacid or Medaspor and Bepanthen. Seeing that you are in CPT you can use a blow dryer to dry her bum completely (obviously not the hottest setting and in safe distance from her skin) :)

Hi there

I use Medaspor for my LO if it seems like a fungal nappy rash. I apply the Medaspor and then normal bum cream over that. It clears up within a day or two.

emmas - I see you are in CPT. The 24 hour Pharmacy on Durban Road in Bellville (Durbell Pharmacy), they sell their own bum cream - Its about R50, it works like a bomb, I would highly recommend it - it can be used on the bum and genitals! Let us know how she is doing. Good luck x

Nystacid also worked for me. And if you can leave the nappy off for a while - that helps too.
