My little girl (is similar in age to your little guy) I use weekly when we grocery shop, she like to be placed outwards which is the only difference from a newborn.

It is easier if you introduce it now and not any later.

I will continue to use it until she walks.

I love this wrap!! Very comfy, adjustable and I highly recommend it.

I only used the babysense sling til about 12 weeks. My husband uses the one similar to the Jeep, but maximum of 1 hour as she also appears uncomfortable.

Anthea, they work so differently.
Really liked the wrap with a newborn. Could keep her nice and close and tucked in, good head support.
But one will get more use out tof the african baby carrier, because you can use it for longer. So value for money the african baby carrier would be the better choice.

check the website www.africanbabycarrier.co.za - have a look at the gallery to get some idea how baby will be acrried and supported.

Sorry to butt in here ladies - have been wondering the same thing!

@Carmen-capi33 - so having had both you would recommend the African baby carrier? Is it easier to wrap?

I used it. It worked very well for us.
You get used to the wrapping, it is a little awkward starting out.
We used it until our LO was about a year.
Then got the African Baby carrier which one can use until age 3.

I didn't master the hang of it with my first baby, but with number 2 it was a life saver! Premmie with reflux, and a 14 month old at home probably meant I "forced MYSELF" to make it work! I think it really depends on you and the baby!

I just wish I'd persaverred with baby number 1! I'd recommend it to anyone! Gave me some freedom to go out a bit more and baby was very happy!

Hi - I used this wrap with both my boys and loved it. With my first we used it from 1 month old (also tried baby sense sling first but it didn't work for us) and with my 2nd I used from birth. But both my boys were very eager to look around so I found it easier to have them on my back from about 5/6 months. (I didn't find it comfortable to use Ubba Bubba with baby facing outward.) I bought an African Baby Carrier and used this instead for carrying baby on back. I also used it with my 2nd son to carry him in the front and he was comfortable. So its up to you - but in your position I'd probably go for a carrier more suitable for bigger baby - like the African Baby carrier. It's also very comfortable. Hope this helps!
