Just shows how different our little ones are. Colby loves books too, but because they are so nice to chew!

I have these awesome flash cards with real pictures on them (not illustrated) He loves listening to each one and then playing with them.

He also loves anything with textured bits on them. Like he loves soft toys with fur and felt and button noses. Can keep him amused for a while.

That's a good idea about dividing the toys up, Lonie. I try to only give him 2 toys at a time. Then his granny comes over and all the toys land up on the floor! Eish!

I divided all my baby's toys in 3 containers and take one out for her to play with every week, she loves her baby books and will concentrate as I repeat all the names of the pictures until we finished with the book.
Also loves the wooden puzzles, I have a clock, counting and farm animals (one for each box)Also loves the Ring stacker.
Her fav at the moment is a little juke box..

This is a cool thread. Nienke LOVES this old toy I got from a friend. It has five different colours and then each colour has a little man that "pops up". She then has to close it. She loves closing it and immediately goes for the one you open.
She also got six eggs in a basket that "breaks" and then there is a little poppie inside. She loves throwing this out.

She also likes the lids of purity jars. Then off course she loves (our) keys.

We also use a lot of bottle caps, M loves playing with it and she has her own shelve with magazines to destroy several times daily.

What she also enjoys is that wooden puzzles with the pin shapes that you can take out. And of course boxes, she moves them stands on them climb into and onto them.....

But the bast toy of all is mommys hair! :silly:

She doesn't yet know how it works but she loves chewing it which keeps her busy a while, I'll go through the colours with her. We also have those peg puzzles and she loves taking them apart and I tell them what pictures are on it - she loves the horse and barks at the dog - very cute :)
