NewPosMom you are so lucky to have a mom thats understands and im sure wateva shes doing she is tryin to protect YOU.
for now you dont need the stress of people talking behind your back about your status, focus on baby and please we personaly know that its not easy but try luv to relax.
it will be okay, we are okay that should give u hope and we will be ok dear.

as for the hospital, there are some couple question that they ask you i assume that they already knew my status so when i told them they told me to relax and i can keep it to myself if i like as long as my Dr knows and i make sure that i dont breastfeed.
they were super ok with everything, the syrup they give you again at the hospital with the syringe.
no one will luk at u crossed eye, you'll be suprised on the third day i went to bath my LilB mo than 5 baby trollies had syringes stuck on the inside of the cots (for the baby syrup)

so think only about you baba forget everyone else plz.

Hi Ladies.. It's so quiet here. I really hope someone can give me some advise.

I received the baby syrup and formula yesterday through my medical aid. When I got home my Mom realised that it was the Nan Perlogon her 1st comment was that we needed to hide it or put it in another container because everyone knows that it given to you if you're positive (she knows my status). I don't know if I'm being stupid but I feel so sad. I didnt show her that her comments hurt me because I know that she's trying to protect me but I'm now getting paranoid about taking it to the hospital with me.

I'm such a mess about everything because it's getting closer for me to give birth so I'm stressing about everything. Will my baby be treated differently at the hospital, will I be looked at funny with my "Aids" baby formula and most of all will my baby be HIV free. I'm so scared, I cant even sleep at nite. I'm such a mess

God really is great..Since joining the forum not one person seems to have had a positive baby. I'm so, so, so happy for you Bonni. I can only imagine the relief. I am really happy 4 u girl.

My count is Ok, Pap smear is Ok & the rest I didnt hear & i dont care as long as my baba is OK!!!!!
Think now i will be able to forgive my partner completely, yes we ALL going to be alrite gals.

@Vmary thats a tough one, cant you ask someone or call them but dont disclose your name??
Bcoz you know these things, you leave out one tiny info & your lil one wont get even a cent!!

I was rejected by Bountys educational plan, they didnt even ask me to go do my CD4. they just heard the word HIV+ nje qha.

Guys i had to fill in the forms for provident fund and Group life insurance at work and there's a section where they ask if u have any pre-existing medical condition. Am i supposed to state my hiv status there?
