Jade it is very stressful at first but you've actually gotto just take the plunge. I took C out to visit her Granny when she was 1 week old. She screamed blue murder (went blue in the face) and freaked everyone out. But now she's totally calm when we go out. I remember being SOOOOO nervous the first time I took her out on my own (without DH). But you have to, you can't be housebound.

I feel myself stressing about this as well, as I haven`t been anywhere with Tay besides the doctor on Monday and the baby Clinic for her shots. Other than that we are stuck at home.

I want to take her to church soon coz she will e Christened one of these days, but am too scared if she starts crying unconsolably, which she can do with flying colors, and the only thing that calms her is a boobie.I`m not comfortable BF in public.
I guess I dont have the confidence yet to handle her outside of my comfort zone(home).

Julz Ur friend with the 8 bedroom house is making me nervous... yho!!!
They not really close friends, just colleagues of DH. The wife & I are'nt tight but Iv met her a couple of times at functions. The have grown up kids, the youngest is 16, but they are in boarding school in SA so they live in this triple story mansions by themselves....
I'll give her a call this evening, hope she says its ok.
Thinking about it, ppl have always asked me where I leave the baby when I go to functions coz last time they saw me I was pregnant, & nobody has seen baby & he's 31/2 months now, so mayb they'll respond well to him...
I was thinking of bathing him there, I'll have to take the moses basket along coz he normally naps in that. Will take the monitor along, better start packing
Hope ppl dont blow vuvuzela's too much otherwise Id have to go home early....

We can take our kids anywhere in the day and they'll fit in but at night we stay home or go to my parents (their second home) just to make things easier on us. When Jade was alone we used to take her everywhere whenever but with 2 it's a hellava thing so we will wait till Troy's a bit older then he must fit along. Jade can fall asleep while watching a dvd so if we were out at friends at night I would just make sure she could watch a dvd and snuggle her up.
