Baby development questions

Here's mine.

1) Start to smile? @ 4wks
2) Start to laugh? @ 4months
3) Hold their own bottel? @ 9months - daddy was really impressed.
4) Sit in a bumbo chair? used a doughnut pillow from 3Months
5) Start making baby sounds? @ 4wks
6) Start teething? got her first tooth @ 9.5months. i was not home to see it and still sad about it.
7) Sit?
8) Crawl? @ 7months
9) Walk? she's been taking 2-3 steps at a time for the part 2wks. She's 11months now and i wonder if she'll walk by her first birthday.
10) Say fisrt words? I donno if bba for Mcwah counts for a word. but that's all we get for now.
11) Start drinking baby rooibos? I started giving tea @ 7months
12) Start solids? i started at 4months and she didn't do well. Paed said stop and try again @ 6months.
13) When to move to a bigger bottel teat size? Changed teats at 3months and still using the same. I like the more holes idea - money saver.

I try not to compare my baby's development with oher kids, but its hard. so i just compare and try not to get worked up about it.

All babies are different

But the averages (according to books) for the things I know are:-

1) six weeks
2) six months
3) Have no idea
4)As soon as they have good head control you can put them in a bumbo, because it supports the trunk and pelvis so at about 4 months.
5) they start cooing at about 2 months, but it becomes more spontaneous at about 3:)
6) No average for this, its like asking when do girls start their periods? My mom was born with 2 teeth!
7) unsupported at 6 months
8) 9 months
9) 1 year
10) 1 year
11) dont know, but WHO recommends an exclusive breastmilk diet for 6 months.
12) Again WHO says 6 months because thats when they can reach for food and sit unsupported, but some people start as early as 4. Apparently (not 100%sur about this) the earlier you start the greater the risk of developing food allergies?
13) Dont know (whn it says on the label??)

I'll answer your questions from my own experience with my LG, but it's not 100% the same for everyone

1) smile at 3 weeks after a very rough night, I was pooped and not so happy, got a 1000watt smile and a gurgle
2) Laugh round about 8 weeks I think (didn't write that one down) but I knew I was starting to wonder if we weren't very funny!
3) Hold her own bottle, hmmm, tough one because she still doesn't really do it. Just her juice or tea straw cup for about a month now (so started at 10 months)
4) Bumbo we only bought a second hand one at 5 months, so she sat it in only for eating times)
5) Baby sounds, always but more at 3 weeks.
6) Start teething, teeth moved into gums at 5months, first tooth at 9m2w2d, second 2 weeks later, 3rd 3 weeks later, 4th today
7) Sit, she only started sitting on her own at 7 months
8) crawl, 7 months
9) walk, 6 days before 11 months and now about 3 weeks later she walks 60% of the time
10) first word was mamma, she was 7 months. She still doesn't say certain words correctly but I know what she means, words include (we are afr) Ai toggie, mamma, kyk daar, toet toet (for the train) broem (for the car), sasa (for sasha the dog) ba (for simba the cat or sheba the other dog) krokodil, woef and teddie.
11) I demand fed B milk whenever she wanted something, in hot days of summer she had water but I only started normal rooibos when she dropped her 3rd bottle so from 9 months
12) B started eating at 5.5 months the baby led weaning way, so no spoonfeeding.
13) bigger teat size, the moment she took longer and seemed to struggle to finish a bottle I poked another hole in her teat, she had 4 holes before 6 months and saved loads of moola

She 11.5 months now

I seem to have 1001 questions to ask regarding baby development. I know that no 2 babies are the same and that each child develops at their own pace, Im just looking for some guidelines.
