My LG did that for about 3 days when she was 6 months old and then soon after she got on all fours and started crawling. She has been mobile ever since. They are so cute doing their "swimming / sailing / leopard crawling"
One of these days she will start to crawl - just you wait and see!

my eldest sat up before she started moving around!!! she started sailing around on her bum for about 3 months (she was almost 6 months when it started) she crawled for exactly 2 days and decided she didn't like it.

Lorelai my youngest does a bit of sailing but this weekend started to crawl on all fours.

Aspoestertjie they are all different and will do things as they are ready... be patient and enjoy the fact that she is still slow. get your rest as soon as she starts crawling you would want her to slow down. you will not have a minutes rest but every second is fabulous!!!

Anina Congrats on LO walking. Those first few months of them walking is so sweet.

My son whom was 6 months at the time also started leopard crawling before crawling. It seemed like a lot of work. He did that for about a week and then just out of the blue he was up in a crawling stance and we never looked back. Wow that is when the work truelly begins.

My younger son whom is almost 7 months old gets into a crawling position and then just bounces. But no moving forward yet or backwards for that matter. But I think we are close.

Mommy to Ryan almost 3years old and Ben almost 5 months old

Stefan started sailing at 5 months, and by 7 months he was a pro!! I thought he would never crawl because his sailing was such an effiecent way of moving around. He messed up all his shirts, there is no way you can get them clean again after 2 months of sailing! But then all of a sudden one day he just got onto his hands and knees and started crawling.

He has been crawling non stop ever since, he is just over 13 months now and eventually gave his first step today, so I guess our crawling days are over...

Brandon also did the leapard crawl thing from 5 - 11 months, when he started walking. He never went up properly.
I spoke to my pead and he said that as long as the cross over thing is happening (left leg, right arm) there is nothing to worry about.

I think he only started crawling properly when Liam did and by then Brandon was already 2 years old :)

Its amazing how quickly they gain speed. Its terrible to compare ... but really hard not to I know. My LG only properly started sitting after 7 months, and she still falls over all the time. I am trying not to be bothered by it... We also need to baby proof the house. Dischem seems to have many useful little gadgets for this, and so far they are the cheapest! Good luck xxx
