EP R130 is a good price, I'd take 2 ;)

Memo, here's a pic of B wearing hers, it was the day after her 1st birthday. She's had it on day and night for 6 months now and it has never caught on anything (she sleeps in her own room, door closed, i don't go in unless she is crying, she sleeps bum in the air face in the pillow - you get the picture!), her earrings (studs) catch on more things (3 times) than her necklace (never).

This all sounds very awesome, especially your post barbara...
I just put it on my nigglesome wingeypants, who happens to be driving me crazy right now.
I'm just a little concerned about the size, it's the smallest size but still too big, there is about 3" of play on it and I'm scared it could pose a chocking hazard.
Am I being over cautious?

I was skeptical until I used one (even though we sold them at the time) - I put one on Ka from 2 months and it definitely made a difference.
We could see within the same day we put it on that she was calmer and less niggly. After about 2 months I took it off to use in a display and then never put it back on as I thought "how much difference can it really make' and after about 2 weeks I said to my husband in distress "I dont know what to do with this child she is impossible and whingey and I can never put her down" - He said but you took the necklace off so I put it on again in a huff (to prove she was just a whinge  ) and within an hour we could see the difference in her. So it stayed on and was not removed until she asked me to take it off at 3 and a bit (because she is not a baby anymore - her brother had said it was a baby necklace)

I also have one, bought it for B when she was 6 months old. She wears it night and day. I still used something for the pain when the first tooth popped out and the top ones but I think it really does work because she isn't as irritable as I've heard other babies are.

Bought it online also for about R180

Hi there,

I purchased Gia's necklace from the health shop in Fourways Mall opposite the dischem. Clicks and dischem do not sell these necklaces. I think i must have paid about R180.00 for it. She has been wearing it from the time she was 3 months ... she still has no teeth tho  All my other friends have bought these necklaces for their kids and swear by it as their kids are teething. Indian folk tale says that the necklaces are removed from the child at every full moon to bathe in the moonlite. It some sort of cleansing for the necklace to restore its healing properties.

Hope thsi helps somewhat :)

I was just wondering if any of you ladies used amber teething necklaces? Still using? Did it work for you?
Where did you buy it and how much did you pay?
