Weight of a 3 month old???

Her birth weight was 2.4kg. When do I start her on solids, as I will be going back to work soon & she is refusing the bottle!!!

All depends on birth weight. My LG was 2,3kg at birth and only weighed 4kg at 3 months. She now weighs just over 6kg and is almost a year old. Paed, clinic Sr and everyone is happy. I breastfed until 11 months.

Chat to a Sr at a Baby clinic and try not to worry! LO will let you know if she is still hungry.

Also, look at your family genetics.

As jojo says it depends on her birth weight. This is a breastfeeding mom's biggest concern is weight gain etc so as jojo says take her to the clinic. You would have recieved a growth chart on the clinic card when your lo was born. Your lo should remain on the curve that she was born on. If you don't have a growth chart then let me know what the birth weight was and I will tell you if your lo is on track or not.

Dylan did loose lots of weight and weighed 3.5 at birth and dropped to the 10 centile line, but has remained on it and the docs say as long as he is picking up that is fine.

Take her to the clinic or pead if you are concerned. I'm sure she is just a small baby. What was her birth weight?
I can't really relate as my LB (more like ox) was well over 6kgs at about 3 months. His birth weight was 3.5kgs
He put on about 1kg a month and I was also breastfeeding.

Hi Ladies,

My baby is 3 months (she was full 3 months on the 21st of August).

I had her weighed yesterday and she weighs 4.6kg. She is putting on weight but I would like to know if this is okay?

I am breastfeeding only, and just a little scared that she is too small.
