Moms who have circumcised lo and are thinking of doing it.

my son is 4months, i regret not doing at birth as you say the healing process is much quicker. but next year am getting it done. do you ladies knowhow much it costs cause my medical adviced me that if the doctor says its a medical condition they will pay but otherwise I will have to pay from my own pocket . Oh and am in joburg Lydia were you at?

done my son cuz of medical reasons.. He was 18months old.

He was getting urine infection and doc mention he foreskin is to thick and to clean the weenie was a mission at that age.

Healing was a week ,he only cried when the first urine was released. no cleaning of weenies and cut or rings.

I never had any urine infections after that ....

I decided to circumcise my LO @ 4 weeks old [he is now 17 weeks]. It was the best decision i ever made. my reason where purely for hyginic reasons and that all the men in his family are circumcised. also i knew that eventually he wud have to have it done and i think its so much better to do it when they r younger as the pain is less intense and it heals quickly...

the healing process for me [or him rather] i found was quick. he had it done on a friday and by the next friday he was completely healed.
beacuse he was little and i cud administer the wound it healed quicker.

Im thinking of circumcising Amara next year winter, he will be 1.5yrs old, which are the best dr to use in kzn durban or pinetown if you know of any. why did you decide to do it and what was the healing process like?
