Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

yesterday my son was at home with me all day. and quess what. i used cloth all day!! this morning first thing, i washed the nappies....(hehe, i love it!)


my home made nappies worked great! i'll definately make some more. the BAMBOO nappy is really nice, i think i should afterall get more of those. Apperantly they dry quicker the more you wash them.

The normal squares is not working that nice though. Lance wee'd them miss last night, the wee ran right down his pants into his slipper....lol

Claudia_B thank you for the tip. will def look into that. do you just throw the paper towl in the machine or must it be hand washed?

Zodwa i also think you are going to like the MN ones, please let us know how they are when you receive them.

I tested out the nappy last night (he had it on from about 5 - 7:30). Okay so it works really nice, it sits so nice around his little body and his bum looks so cute. the nappy was very wet on the inside but on the outside it was dry so yay on that. i still used a waterproof.
im just struggling a little bit with placing the big liner (that i fold in half) in the nappy and get it on a busy baby without it moving away. so ill have to see what i can do there.

Claudia, thanks for that advice! i got a pack of stegi liners from someone, still using those. thought i'll try the mn next, but maybe i should just buy the carlton ultra.

GERNE, the carlton ultra can also work great with the wipe solution.

zodwa, i get what you are saying. you have the pain, waterproofs. i use them, the are okay, but old fashioned. the modern ones are really nice. Wait for your MN covers, you will love those!

Hey ladies:) Just thought I' mention about the liners (maybe I'm crazy) I really liked the mother nature liners because they were so much thicker than the cherubs ones and seemed to protect the nappy so much better, but I realised that the MN liners are pretty much carlton ultra (the washable paper towel), so I've started buying the carlton ultra and using it as a liner. Works really well and its cheaper than the MN:)

I dnt like the whole elastic idea. My nanny said they might have some flat cloth ones, but apparently most people like the two in one ones with the elastic....
I'll see this weekend. My MN ones are arriving next month
