Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

one more (stupid) question. When your baby have a poo nappy, do you flush the poo and liner down the toilet or just the poo? will the liners not block the toilet?

Hi everyone. I have to report quickly!! I just made my first 2 nappies. I did't get any toweling fabric today, so i decided to use some of Lance's old 'spoegdoeke'. It might just be a very good idea to make nappies from all the old spoegdoeke, and buy or even MAKE new ones for baby.

o my goodness, i cannot believe you guys made me do this!! i'm actually making my own nappies. I will post pics tomorrow. I also made my first 2 wipes and the one 'pad' was a flop, but i fixed it as a 'booster pad'. haha. i'm trying to be very clever...

Anina, question for you. Why don't you put the middle bit of the nappy all the way through? my middle bit came out a bit narrow, but i'll cut it bigger next time.

now i have the nappies, i just need the waterproofs. the Kids Emporium near me stock MN, they are waiting for stock to arrive. As soon as I get that, i can try out my DIY BM nappies.

Lance is with me at home tomorrow, don't know if i will have time to chat. but as soon as there is a minute, i will load some pics.

This is what Anina does in her nappies but she uses Supersip from Verimark. I had some of that Orage stuff and was going to use it but read that it can't be tumble Dried.

I just wasn't sure what the material is made of and any chemicals used in it that might not be good for baby? The orange stuff dries quickly in the sun - I just rinse puppies wee mat and put it out in the sun for the day and its dry a few hrs later, but also seems to dry pretty fast when I have to hang it over the bath.

I'm going to look into the Supersip stuff. Maybe make a loose 'booster' of orange/supersip and cover in sheeting or flannel to add to a night-time nappy?
