Thank you Amanda, I will most definitely have a look.

because most of the nappies looked a bit bulky for small babies I have started to make my very own cloth nappies (thanks to all the ladies that already posted photos on this thread), will hopefully finish one tonight

Hey Stella,

Bam+Boo are great nappies. Nice big cut if you have a chunky baby :) I use them on my two too.

I've made some videos on my FB page (Doodlebums Diapers) of the various cloth nappies and put some photos up for comparison if other moms want to have a look.

Good afternoon ladies,

I hope there are still a few ladies on this thread ??

I will definitely be a proud cloth mommy, no matter what my friends think...
Will be getting some Bam+Boo nappies, i have heard that those work really well.

I have read some of the older posts and now I am indeed inspired to make my own nappies as well, already bought all the materials.

The last three posts by Lovecloth seems incredibly spammy... Can the moderators please check this out?

Bio-Baba are incredibly bulky and many moms (including myself) find that they leak. So yes, while they will most likely fit a big toddler, they will not fit your baby for a very long time before that, so it's not exactly a birth to potty solution.

There are a couple of other proudly South African brands that use only natural fibres against baby's skin (Mother Nature, Fancypants, Earthbabies), Bio-Baba is definitely not the only option if that is what you're looking for.

Get her to check out Bio-Baba nappies...they are the original South African brand of nappy, and as opposed to most of the 'new comers' on the market, use only natural fibres against babies' skin and are also not imported from half way across the world, which doesn't make sense if you are looking to reduce your carbon footprint! Although they used to be a little bulky...they have now added 2 extra rows of poppers so can fold down for a really small baby. They also last all the way to potty training - little skimpy OSFA nappies just don't fit a 3 year old toddler - but these are robust enough to do the job! Their packs come with free bucket and organic nappy soak which is divine.

Have you tried Bio-Babas Organic Nappy soak = it is a fabulous product to disinfect nappies with -is specifically formulated to lift stains/disinfect and smells great as has 7 different essential oils in!
