Hi ladies

How did the parties go? or are some of you still planning.

Matthew had a lovely party, we had it at home. the theme was Lunar Jim. Rocketships everywhere and a Rocketship cake.

Finally managed to get M potty trained. things have been going so well, except the other day he made a mistake in the shop. It seemed that he did have a bit of a runny tummy though. Luckily I had just bought a pair of pants for him and could change him imediately... and aviod further disaster..

M has grown up so so much, the temper tantrums have subsided and he generally is so well behaved. Loves to do puzzles, pretend cook, play with cars and anything to do with sport, rugby, cricket etc etc etc.

Do anyof your little ones dress themselves yet? M is learning to put his pants on after toilet time... but not been too successful yet. Some days he does get it right. The funny thing now when he goes to the toilet he tells me he wants to be alone in the toilet and closes the door behind him. The other day him and his cousin locked themselves in the toilet. I had a panic attach, as his cousin, whi is a few months older than him never knew how to open the door. Luckily my mom had a spare key. Shame they were both quite traumatised by the experience. Hopefully they wont do that again...

Matthew seems to have gone backwards with the potty training. He is fine at home, but everyday when I fetch him from school he has weed in his pants during the day. I asked the nanny whether she has been taking him to the toilet. She got a bit offended and I felt bad for asking.

Naz- not sure about the night time drinking. Is she drinking milk. I diluted the milk with water, slowly increasing the water until he was not keen to drink it. M now drinks no milk ( a slight concern?) he went off it. He used to ask for his bottle, take one sip and Then say he didn't want the milk.

Can anyone recommend a party venue in CT?

potty training still going well my side too - but Nuhaa MUST sleep with a nappy on or else!
She also still drinks bottle 2-3 times at night so in the morning her nappy is quite full - how can i get her off night-time drinking?

I have also not yet decided re a party - all I know is that I definitely would like to have one lol

Ok so we have settled in very well at school. No crying this week. The toilet training has gone very well. No longer using nappies at all. Although he did make a pooh mistake yesterday. So far the mistAkes have been happening at home so not too bad.

How much stimulation do you think our LO's should be getting at day care? He is now one of the oldest ther so I am concerned he is not going to be learning that much. Hoping to send him to preschool next year have to see if we can get him in.

Any thoughts on the parties?

Yes Naz it is Matthew, you have an excellant memory.

Shakira- what do you do about the tantrums? I try to ignore M, but we have not had a tantrum in a while actually.

Still crying at school, when I ask him why, he just says I wanted my Mama. Shame it is heartbreaking.

We suddenly seem to have made fantastic progress on the potty training, no accidents since Tuesday, and even went to the toilet on his own once. Went cold turkey and have not used nap pies in ages.

Expecting baby no 2 at end April, let's hope that M does not get too envious.

Yes started thinking about the party. Last year we had too many people in our little house. Dh has his birthday the day after M so we also had some of our adult friends. I think this year will take M and his friends out some where. Any theme requests. Matthew wants a Lunar Jim party. Don't know about that.

Crocodile tears yesterday going to school, let's hope today is better.
