Maureen, that was the same with my LG. Could only find out with the fetal assessment at 22wks, so maybe it is a girl for you and that girls are just very shy. Hope I will see something tomorrow. Otherwise, I’m going to buy that test at Clicks that will tell the gender.

Ag no Maureen, sorry you couldn't see the sex of baby, but so glad all is well! When are you going to Thailand?

Juandre, thanks for the b'day wishes! Had a lovely day on Saturday, just relaxed the morning with breakfast in bed! Had a tough week last week at work, had a directors meeting yesterday which I am very glad it's over and done!! Now for the rest of the week, my youngest boy is suppose to go for an operation on Thursday, but now he's snotty, so I want to get the pediatrician's oppinion first! I am quite emotional this week, cry about everything!!

Mom2B - I am so sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for you and your DH.

Scan went well, baby would not give us anything, closed legs and bum in the placenta, doctor tried for 15 minutes but baby would just not budge! Baby is a week and a half bigger with weight and lenght! Baby is 180 grams and 10 cm! Doctor says another big baby for me.

Also my asthma is back in full force, and that is what keeps me down and why I have been so sick! I out grew my asthma at 21 and for some or other reason it decided it will come back with this pregnancy! Doctor found it funny but told me to take it easy! Also I have only gained 100 grams in the last 4 weeks! Doctor couldn't believe it. She wasn't impressed and told me to eat more, I laughed because I am eating like a pig, I am so scared for when the food eventually gets hold of my weight! I am going to look like a bus.

Doctor also got all my prescriptions and stuff ready for Thailand! See I have a history of blood clots, so have to take Clexane and also wear those funny socks they give to old people with bad blood circulation! So everything is now sorted.

Fetal Assessment at 20 weeks on the 19th of September and hopefully then we will see the gender of this very stubborn baby!

M2B, I so wish I can just hold you and give you a hug. But you are in my thoughts and prayers and I pray that God will hold you in His loving arms in this sad time. We do not always understand why these things happen, but just know that God is in control of every situation.

My friend had her baby yesterday, but she is so mad at the hospital for not phoning the doctor for the epidural in time, and when it was time for the epidural, it was too late as it was time for her to start pushing. So she had a 100% natural birth and she said it was so painful and the baby was only 3kg. Luckily she and baby are fine. A lady who used to work with me pushed out a 4.something kg baby 100% natural.

I’m going for my scan tomorrow 12h. Can’t wait.

Maureen, how did your scan go today? Could you see the gender?

M2BMarch - I am really sorry about your loss and everything that you had to go through. I really hope and pray and keep my fingers crossed that you will be pregnant again sooner than you think! Do the docs know why this happened?

I bought the Clicks test and did it, it says I am expecting a boy, but I will wait and see what the gynae says before believing it.

Carol - Hope you enjoy your scan and hope that you get the gender you would like.

Angi - Nice pic! We are very close in dates.

AFM - my MS is better and only get headaches occasionally now. Had to laugh two nights back. My LG vomited and as I went into the bathroom to help my DH with the mess I had to turn around and run to the loo myself. This has never happened before. But it was quit funny. I am only tired in die afternoons, doesn't sleep to well and is HUNGRY ALL THE TIME! But for the rest I am good! Have to fly to Cape Town on the 29th of August, back to Bloem on the 31st of August, THEN again to Cape Town on the 5th of September and back to Bloem on the 9th of September. Busy time ahead!

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers I finally went into labour at half 9 last night for 2 hrs then went for the D&C out by half 11pm. I am doing ok my DH and family and friends have been so good to me. Hopefully I will be home this afternoon. Good luck all you lovely ladies I hope all goes well and that I will be back one day xxxx
