Jan/Feb/Mrch 2012 Momies to Be

hi ladies am new on this group am 12 weeks.Today am going to my doctor for the blood tests results am so scared its the first time ive tested for HIV but am confident that all is well.Next week i have an appointment with my gynaecolosist for a scan i cant wait to see my little one am sure he/she is a human being by now oooh i cant wait

So jealous of all the people going for scans. Still 4 more weeks for me!

My date is still the 6th of Feb for VBac. If its a c-sec it will be a 30 January baby.

Hehe Justine, for some reason I cannot stay underwater when my tummy is that big. I just pop right back up!!DH thinks its hilarious

Hope all the ladies with teething children get some sleep tonight!

I will have to double up on the stretchmark creams and oils. hopefully it will work this time. I forgot to put on my butt and thighs, and got some stretchemarks there. Got stretchmarks on my tummy. But hey I was really huge so I cannot say that the oils do not work.

Zelf, I hear you about school issues. I have a friend who is trying to keep their child back a year to start school because he's a december baby and quite 'young' for his age.
funny, i hadnt even considered that until she mentioned it. But, you're right. its completely out of our hands. I wasnt particularly keen to be heavily preggies through the hottest bit of summer, but we dont get to choose these things. now Im just happy to be preggies full stop. I'll wallow in our pool like a whale when Jan/Feb gets boiling!

Justine, it's scary that so many things will happen/change in such a short period of time( 6 weeks!!). At that stage of pregnancy I just wished the baby will come now - was VERY uncomfortable in Dec when I was pregnant with my oldest. But that said, I wished this baby was due a bit later, so afraid that this baby will also be prem, and would really rather have a baby born early in the year than late Dec( for the school issues), but I know it's not in our hands!

I’m so frustrated. I went to work this morning, just to finish the income for the week, because it is month-end. When I got there, the system was down. I managed to do some of the bank statements, but not everything. When I went to the accountant, I told him I’m going home, because I cannot work, He said, He will phone me when we are back on so that I can come back and finish the word. I’m booked of for the week, and I told them that I will come in this morning. Why didn’t they phone me to tell me not to drive all the way? I’m not going back, they can finish the work.

Anyway, Welcome Jolene and congratulations.

Maureen, Peanut also waved for us last week. It is so nice to see. Got my Down’s blood results back today. Negative, so I’m really glad, not that I expect something else.

Zel, glad your boy is better.

Well, I used Bio-oil and Happy Event. Still got a lot of stretched marks. I asked the doctor and he said that stretched marks are in your genes. So apparently doesn’t matter what I’m doing, I’m going to get them. I’m going to try the tissue salts this time, maybe the doctor was wrong.

I’m off the bed now. Feel really terrible.

It just occurred to me that come January, you'll be well over the crazy first 6 weeks of new-baby-life and a lot of us will still be in the uncomfortable, scary last few days of pregnancy! I think at that stage Im going to be pretty jealous
