Jan/Feb/Mrch 2012 Momies to Be

Good morning Ladies,

I went to the Gynae this morning. I am 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant, baby due 3 February 2012. Peanut is now 7mm long, and has a beautiful heartbeat. I fell in love all over again.
Going for my next appointment on the 26th of Julie then I will be just over 12 weeks.

My day really started out good.

Carol, you can still go on to Momentum, because they will cover the baby as soon as she/he is out of your tummy, so for incase the baby needs extra stuff that will be covered.

I was dealing with a lady from momentum, filled in application and all! But then I found out I was Pregnant. I had to tell her. And she said that unfortunately not! They used to do it, but then saw that some women went on it and then just stopped it afterwards. So big loss for them.

I know at the medi clinics they can open an account for you and you can then deposit money into it. Kindof like a savings for the birth. That's all we can do for now.

Geez I'm so tired, but bored at the same time LOL. I want to do something or go somewhere but tooooo ... T..I.rEd. Atleast I can still move my fingers

Carol - I am no expert on MS. All I know is that naar feeling is the worst...and being sick after each meal basically is it. MS also includes other things but I am not going to lay it out just in case I jinxs us all. My back is killing me as well, best advice, get into a warm bath not too hot, and just take a couple of minutes, it seems to relax the back! I did that every night with my first pregnancy and sometimes in the morning, at one stage it got so bad I couldn't move because of the pain, hoping it isn't the same this time around. Why don't you try Momentum? I have heard of mommies getting on it while pregnant.

Hi Ashleigh, I remember you from the November mommies. Was there for a while till I was 9 weeks.

Anyhoo, hope everyone is doing well today! Feeling very nauseous uuuuh, can't even drink my coffee And this time around I feel so tired throughout the day that I can hardly drag myself through a shower at night. I've never been this tired with my other pregnancies. And very bad backache...

Also have a sore throat thing going on. SIGH...hope to feel better soon.

Hi Cookie, I am also stuck with no medical aid! My own fault as I couldnt make up my mind and then BOOM I was pregnant> So we will need to do everything cash. And I will have to get a c-section again, so we will need to save up a lot!

My first gynea appointment is only the 1st of July. Then I will be 8weeks and 4 days. Feels like forever...

Maureen, I have never had morning sickness. So does feeling sick after a normal meal count for MS. Or this naar feeling? if so then I hope it stays at that! Oh and enjoy app!

At any Lancet/Ampath labrotorium. I am not that clued up on the provicial system but I am sure if you phone your nearest public hospital maybe they can advice you on a cheaper way forward.

Money is a bit tight as i dont have medical aid for this pregancy. And no medical aid will take me now.

I feel so new at this again, hopeless actually where can i go get a blood test done. Sorry i know i am sounding really stupid, but i am not one for needles and hospitals.

Ash - I feel my cold is getting worse as well. I never get colds or flu...but seems I am getting one now. Fantastic just as we are going away over the weekend as well. Murphey's law!
My DH was with me for everything with the first pregnancy and he will most probably be with for everything again, he is a bit of a pain as he wants to ask question...usually stupid ones but I leave him to it...
