Welcome Cookie, you can go have the blood test done, and then have the results sent to either your GP or your Gynae, it is up to you. I would suggest if you have the money rather go to the Gynae.

Hi Maureen

You must enjoy your appointment.

I cant wait for wednesday. My DH started a new job today so i'm not sure if he will be able to go with. So sad, coz with with our last pregnancy he was with me for everything.

My MS hasn't kicked in yet. but i'm sure it will. Just a bit "naar" sometimes. Just got a horrible cold. Its typical, when i am not able to drink medicine i get sick.

Welcome Ashleigh

I am due on the 3rd of February! Going to the doctor tomorrow morning for the first time. So looking forward to finding out everything is going good.

My little boy is now 13 months, so a small gap for us as well. But I am really looking forward to it. I really am hoping for a little girl this time around.

By the way ladies I think MS is kicking in with me. I can't stomach even looking at my oats this morning! And yesterday I was all shaky after Sunday lunch, just went to lie down afterwards, felt awful!

Have a great day ladies.

Hi Ladies

I am also on the DEC 2011/ JAN2012 thread but i found this this morning.

Took a home pregnancy test on friday. Got a BFP!!! Went for a blood test that morning and my count is over 4000. My doc is very happy and he has put on all the medication that i was on with my last pregnancy. The down side to that is, it makes me very sick. Not looking forward to the MS.

Was a complete shock. We weren't able to conceive our first child on our own (we had the help of a fertility specialist) Our little girl is 7 months old and now we are expected our second bundle of joy.

I'm still in shock. The small age gap is worrying me.

Will be going for our first scan on 15 June. Cant wait!!! My expected due date is the 2nd Feb 2012. But i'm sure this little one will come early like his/her sister. Zaylee was born exactly a week early (natural birth) We are hoping for a little boy this time round.

Yes its tough, but you hardly have time for yourself. Like right now I am trying to rest a little (did not make time for rest yesterday and by 19h00 I was so tired I couldn't move- resulting in todays back ache) but my DS is like a energizer bunny, jumping on the bed, singing, shouting and just turning everything upside down ...SIGH...

So... I am having some terrible backache uuggh. Hope the rest helps a bit...

This time you should really take time to relax when you are on Maternity Leave!! You will be working much harder with 2 children :)

Anyhoooo hope your having a great day!

I am about 5 weeks, 4 days.

I take my hat off to you. I will never be able to be a stay at home mom. I wish that I could but I would drive myself insane. When I was on maternity leave I felt like I was climbing the walls!

This time around I am hoping maternity leave will be more enjoyable and I will be able to relax. I am a very busy person and as soon as I sit still for a long time my mind starts running and I am back at square one trying to figure out a problem or looking for faults within budgets, and this happens all in my head. It drives my DH insane, because he knows by now when I get a certain expression on my face I am not really there.
