i am 18 weeks and i am seeing my gynea at casternhof (Dr Mvela) i tried Dr Mia first who came highly recommended but he was fully booked i could only get an appointment in June besides he works only a strictly cash basis and my midwife is also from linkwood hospital (phindi mashinini)

i stay near arwyp medical centre but my cousin did not have such a good experience with her first baby there, she went to linkwood with her second and she recommened i go there.

Which gynae did you see and which hospital are you going to? Where is your midwife based? (You did say you in Kempton hey?)

my midwife is charging me 5400 for the birth that i will claim back from the medical aid, my doula is free coz she is still training, my gynea is on my medical aids network and i will be paying 500 at the hospital (for the gift bag that has a lot of things that i would have bought out of pocket) but everything is basically covered 100% by medical aid

i also went for my elective scan at 16 weeks and i paid 660, will be going again at 20 weeks at the hospital that i am booking with (a free gift from the hospital when you book with them)

I went for a check up yesterday, baby H weighs a whole 175 grams

It amazes me every time i see her on the screen! This little blessing just keeps growing and growing

We do the 20 week abnormality scan at the end of the month? Did any of you have or had to pay for this? (R830?)

Do any of you have to pay in for delivery/co-payments ect?

i still feel tired and get the nausea and vomiting atleast once or twice a week but other than that i am ok

hi i have been to a gynea and done all my blood work, i am also having a doula and a midwife, i am having a boy and i found out on the 20th of february
