I'm looking for something like a playgroup, for mommies and babies to meet up during Maternity leave, as it apparently gets very lonesome at home.

Any of you know of any such groups?

Well, only 49 days left and then my wife will give birth to our little girl. Yip time has certainly flown by, I hope you all are enjoying the final weeks of this miracle called pregnancy.

We start seeing the gynae every 2 weeks now... Excited to meet my little girl, we have chosen to call her Riley Jessica

Good luck ladies, thinking of you all, will post pics after my little girl is born!

Welcome TrudieK! So sorry to hear you are not enjoying this pregnancy. Your Pelvic Girdle pains sound aweful! We can only hope it gets better...

Wow it has been a while since I last checked the Moomie site!

Allsmiles...I cant agree with you more!! It has flown past and almost feels a bit unreal...Also 11 and a bit weeks to go - so exciting!

We found out we were having a little girl!! And we have decided to name her Layla Jade.
We dont have much for the baby yet, but we have a pram, crib, compactum, a few little outfits and the car seat will be coming in the beginning of december.
We are also waiting until after the baby shower to do more shopping.

Are any of you planning on going to the Mama Magic Expo at the Dome in JHB?
It starts on the 28th of November & ends December 1st.
I have been an exhibitor at the show before, but never had the opportunity/need to go and look around. This year, the boss has banned me from working at the show and I get to go with my sister-in-law who is also expecting! I can't wait!!

Don't know about all of you, but my second trimester felt like it flew by and i can't believe i'm in the last strech of my pregnancy!

11 weeks to go for me... eeek scary!!!

Hi all,
I'm also a Jan 2014 mommy to be. I'm at 21 weeks now and can't wait for it to be over. I'm not enjoying my pregnancy at all. It is my second, lb is 4yrs old and will be 4 1/2 when his little sister joins our family.
I'm in severe pain (pelvic girdle pains) when I walk, since last week - so I'm not hopeful that it will get any better - just worst. The only thing that keeps me sain is that my lg is perfect and healthy! and that even if I have to suffer for the next 4 months, I'll do it because it is worth it.

I'm 39 and will be 40 when little one is born, so had to go for the fetal assessments twice in Pretoria East. Was a lovely experience and you see so much more.

The nursery is painted and the cot is bought. Now just the pram and then wait for baby shower before I buy anything else. I gave away all my baby stuff after having my first as hubby didn't want a second. He came around and now we are over halfway there...

Sarahhs, this scan is not very clear - so impossible to comment. You'll know soon enough though...
