Hi Twincesses,
they're di/di, how are your girls measuring size wise so far, is there a discrepancy? Are their risk of TTTS lower than with mo/mo? How do you feel about them being identical? We'll have to wait and see until after they're born to see if they're identical.
My pregnancy has been fairly easy so far, no m/s just food aversions. I was slightly over weight when I found out I was pregnant so I'm really watching what I eat but its not been easy. My asthma has been flaring up though and I have severe heartburn but otherwise things are still going okay.
I've been researching strollers and car seats online and its been frustrating so far, we have so little variety here and I'm rather disappointed. Thinking of importing car seats from Macy's, not sure about the stroller. I'd like a side by side stroller but the ones I've seen are so uninspired. This is my favourite one so far but look at the price- this is ridiculous! I've been to Baby City to check out strollers but didn't find side by side strollers at the branch we went to, what's the name of the Graco stroller you're going with?

Ours are mo/di, so always worrying about TTTS etc..

I'm doing well atm, big already had a few hiccups at the start with bleeding and having a mcdonalds stitch at 13 weeks. Been on modified bed rest since then, so working from home. How's your pregnancy progressing?

Its really hard to find nice things for twins in SA! (We've been looking at strollers so far, but all the nice ones will bankrupt you.) think we've finally settled on the graco together one from baby city, which fits the car seats...) have you had any luck?

Kayla - as far as I know the steroid is called celestone and it is primarily to strengthen the LO's lungs for in case delivery is a bit premature. I don't think you need to stress too much. I think your gynae just want to be prepared for in case your LO decides to arrive a bit earlier, or if you or baby start to experience stress due to high BP it is better to have the steroid for when and if C-section is needed.

Don't think about at as 'predicting complications', think about it as prevention is better than cure for both you and your LO. I, too, suffer from gestational high BP and was put on meds. So I will probably have to get celestone as well later on.

So, don't stress too much about it - it's not good for the BP!

How are you all keeping? I just went to the gynea on Saturday. Everything is fine with our boy, but my blood pressure is a tiny bit high. Doctor said she wants to start giving me steroids from 32 weeks to help with baby's lungs. That freaked me out a bit because she is predicting complications. Does anyone of you know anything about the steroid?

Welcome Twincesses! I'm 19 weeks with twin boys, due date 17 October- also our firsts. Its so hard to find resources for twin pregnancies in SA. Im as big as a bus already and people already think Im about to pop. How are things going with your pregnancy?

Giggles - for me, I'm only "allowed" 7kg - 10kg throughout the entire pregnancy and at my last visit I picked up 1kg, that was about 3 weeks ago. On average I think about 1kg or so per month?

Hi Ladies

I am 25 weeks and this is my first pregnancy. I am getting so excited! I would like some advise on what medicines to start buying... for example what will I need for a 0 - 3 month old for Colic or Nappy rash or temperature etc. There are so many types in the shops and I feel a bit daunted!

Any advise would be appreciated!
