All that I can say with us there was twin boys also
Born at 33weeks and they did so well after only 2 weeks
They got to go home! Have they given you the steriod injections
To help the babies lungs develop quicker? They will give you two
Injections (I only had one as they couldn't stop my contractions)

Don't stress everything will be okay and how exciting you get to meet
Your two little angels soon!

We got to come home yesterday! Just survived my first night
Sjoe I am tired! Because he is prem we need to wake him every
3h to feed and struggled to get him awake enough to feed. However
Last feed went better so holding thumbs the rest of todays feeds
Will go better too!

Keep us updated Hantielab and will be thinking and praying for you

So we had an unexpected turn of events. My waters broke last night at 33 weeks. Currently in hospital on meds to stop contractions and steroids for babies. Sounds like we're gonna meet them this week!!

Sjoe, feels so unreal and scary!!! Liefie, any words of advise??

Long time no update

Congratulations liefie. Hope mommy and baby are doing well!

Had my 33/34 week check-up today. Baby boy is doing well. Still tracking 2 weeks ahead so his weight (2.7kg) did not come as much of a surprise.
(I'm starting to look like a stick insect that swallowed a beach ball - all tummy)

Still planning on a vaginal delivery (with epidural) and Dr remains supportive.
We'll track his size though, in case we need to change the birth plan.

At this stage - happy baby and increasingly tired mommy. But thankful for my healthy, uncomplicated pregnancy.

Good luck for the last stretch to all the other December moomies!

leelpeterson, wow that is a good weight and it is so nice to know that should labour come early, little one should be ok!

liefie, so glad to hear from you and really excited that your boy is doing so well! Any idea when he will be discharged. My mom bought me the Carriwell binder so I'm glad to hear that it is working and thanx for the reassurance about c-sec. I think I'm calmer about that now!

I'm really getting big and uncomfortable now and lying on the couch all day doesn't really help to keep the muscles strong. Starting to feel quite flabby
Seeing Dr again next week and hoping to hear that these two are still comfortable and staying put. Difgicult not to drive around and do normal stuff but will just have to see it through. Poor hubby was send to do our monthly groceries today, already phoned a few times he he

Hey all the mamma's

So glad to see everyone is getting along and that you all doing well.

I had my check up on Tuesday, Dr says I am 31w5days and apparently baby's survival rate just jumped to like 98%.. He is doing very well, and already in position.. and GOSH is he big.. Weighing between 2.2 and 2.5kg already.. And of course big head, long legs.. Getting really nervous and excited now to meet him.. Next check up in 3 weeks..

Until then ladies, keep well and enjoy the last few weeks of pregnancy..

Hello ladies

Sorry meant to send an update but just haven't had the time.
Our little boy is doing really well. I have started to breastfeed
Him which is amazing experience!

His birth weight was 2.05kg but he lost quite a bit and ended up
At 1.6kg but he has started to pick up again and this morning
He clocked in at 1.8kg so getting there slowly but surely!

Hantielab - I was terrified of c section too but honestly it really
Is not that bad. Try to get up and walk as soon as you can After op
And after they remove the drip and catheter.
Also I bought myself the Cariwell post pregnancy belt a week after
My operation (rather expensive R400) it is worth evry penny! It
Supports the wound and pushes back the tummy. I also found that
It acted as a barrier for the wound that clothes dont rub against it
(Plaster comes off after one week)
One weird thing - the wound it self is not painful but the skin around it
Is sensitive! ! I keep thinking of you because there is another mommy
That joined me in the NICU she had her twins at 33weeks! And they are doing
Extremely well and are adorable!
