RonelleB..it IS so exciting to see hubby have fun with baby presents! It makes me so happy how men are so much a part of everything and want to be!..They really should be. hahaha I can understand the repacking of baby bag! lol that's why I haven't packed ours yet...I wanted to wait until after baby showers.
We are also going away this weekend...it's 1.5hr away from home. Taking hospital bags along but I think we should be fine. I have only have one or two little period cramps and a bit of a heavy feeling in my pelvis..but otherwise, no signs of baba coming yet. Still have to be prepared though.
I am starting to really battle with feeling comfy. Especially at night. I get sore sitting on the couch and I get tired sitting on the ball and laying on my side is becoming the most uncomfortable position in the world. I often find myself on my back with all my hundreds of pillows on the floor. My hips are starting really feel sore from it as well. Anyways..I try not to complain too much since I have had very few issues so am grateful for that.

I am going for my next scan at 37 week (Next Tues)..so excited to see how my boy has grown and how things are doing now. I hope your scan is informative and that everything is great for natural. I am not sure about the inspections etc..hope someone knows?

Hi ladies

Back in the saddle after a nice (though busy) weekend.

Nels_ I trust you and baby are fine, we can't wait to get all the detail! So happy for you.

Starry_ We also finally had our maternity photo session this weekend. Might I add, these were the only photies I have allowed of me and my bump to date. It was such fun (the sessions included nice snaps of all 2.5 of us, not just me) and I can't wait to see the final pics. Same photographer will do our newborn session (she also did our wedding loooooong ago and was great then too).

Oh and you won't guess what happened on Friday! Hubby's office hosted a baby shower for us too! He soo enjoyed being the centre of attention and opening the baby goodies ;) Again got such nice gifts - we are indeed privileged to have friends like these.

Whilst I am still washing the new items as we get them, I have now repacked baby's hospital bag three times already. I guess as the new cute onesies come in I choose them over the ones already packed! I have not however finished packing my own bag, I need to do that poste haste. We are going away over the long weekend (about a 2 hour drive from home) and I suppose I need to be savvy and keep both bags in the car during this trip. I just needed to get away from home and get some fresh air.

Gloei_ keep us posted!? I like to think of everyone going into labour as a "final countdown"... one down, 3 more to go kinda thing...

Starry_ Glad to see all is still well with you and baby, after such terrifying weeks it all seems to work out in the end.

Faffy and Newbie_ Any new niggles this week? I find myself struggling to move around. I am actually quite fit (example I still go to the gym every morning!) but walking a lot and being physically active is wearing me down now. Had to tell hubby to slow his walk during shopping this weekend and had to sit down more often... frustrating though.

Going to see Gynea tommorrow for 36 wk check-up. Does anyone know (or had experience) of when the doc actually checks to see if you can go normal if you want to (i.e. check pelvis vs baby size vs position vs cord etc)? I think the midwife at the prenatal classes said around week 36 or 37...

Hi Ladies,

Nelsn - hoping that no news is good news and that you are spending time with your precious baby and that you are doing well.

Starryeyed - So glad to hear that your dad is coming to help!! Hope the pictures came out nice, but yes, it is a looong wait.

Just came back from my back-up gynea visit. She is happy with everything, estimated weight 2.8 kg (she is happy with that), head almost engaged at level 1. Cervix is softening but still closed and central.
So she reckons perhaps end of the weekend soonest or the week thereafter, although she said a surprise this week is not off the cards. She said I must just rest and try to recover from the cold. Must have my Iron levels checked again next week as it was too low.
Was so cute to see those plump squishy lips on the sonar image!!

Hope everyone else is managing with last weeks of pregnancy challenges!! xx

Hi Ladies,

Nelsn - Still thinking of you!!! Hope you are holding your little boy by now!!

Newbiemom - No news on your side?
I think I am having warm-up labour - not sure what is going on, but not having any rythmic surges, although i have had a few sharp shooting pains in my V*j where it was so intense I couldn't move for a couple of seconds :pinch: ...and my tummy is still clearing out every couple of hours (sorry TMI). Still feel flu-like symptoms. Don't know if this is just the start of the slow process that could take weeks still?! Anyway, I feel different.
Trying to sort out last minute stuff with work as my husband and I planned to work till thursday, but I am beginning to wonder if...Um...our LG might come before that.

Will keep you updated!! xx
