Full moon ladies! Here's to false labour and waters breaking xxx

Gloei so glad you are feeling better!! Hopefully your little one will make her grand entrance soon interesting about the cervix... I must have a read... Not sure I can feel down there... My tummy is soooo huge lol!

Ronelle so glad your appointment went well. Interestingly... We had our 36 week check up today and our little one is also about 3kg. I am sure the baby will only grow to what your body can handle... That's what I keep telling myself anyway haha

The doc said his head is engaged... Not sure if that is supposed to happen yet or if we can expect him early... Maybe one of you second time moms would know??

Wow, you have been a real trooper to have perservered so long, sho, I really take my hat off to you!! You have done so well although I can imagine it must have been one hectic journey...Well done mommy!

RonelleB - Remember that those weight estimates can be out by as much as 600 grams. Perhaps baby will come at 37 or 38 weeks and are almost done growing... In all my natural birth readings, it seems as if the whole weight issue is often blown out of porportion. The experienced midwives (the gurus) reckon size is not such a big issue in most cases when it comes to delivery. Marijke told of a VBAC a while ago over 4 kilos with no pain medication with Marianne Littlejohn. Don't let people put unnecessary fear into your head. Your baby's size is perfect for your body! Well, that is my perception anyway.

On my side, my cold is slightly better - yeah! Delivering my last work today, looking forward to that!! Interesting, I have read up on checking your own cervix, sorry TMI, and I think I could actually feel what they were referring to in the instructions. Very interesting indeed...
Feeling really excited to meet my baby and I think she feels the same way.

I am surprised to see that you had emergency CS after going into labour and baby dropping into canal etc. At our antenatal classes the midwife said that if the baby engage into the canal during labour they cannot do CS at all and have to then start using instruments to conclude labour... Mmm... interesting.
Just glad that it all worked out fine and that you and baby are happy and healthy!

Morning ladies

I had a hectic few days so I have been recovering.
Baby boy was born yesterday at 7:20am weighing 3.41kg, I ended up having a cs as he wasnt coming down, was in labour since saturday, waters broke at 4.50am yesterday, dialated to 9.5 then my cervix hardened and went down to 8cm. By then I was exhausted from lack of sleep for days, constant pain and baby heart rate started to go down so ended up with an emergency cs which I really enjoyed and was accomodated so wonderfully. Will post pics soon. Enjoy your easter wonderful ladies. I did have an April baby indeed at 41.2weeks
