I think you should give your gynea a call just to be on the safe side. Maybe also go to a GP if you can't see your gynea now.

How far along are you now?

I would say google it, but sometimes you find scary stuff on the net, and sometimes it's best not to know certain things.

I had very bad pain in my right lower abdomen almost in my groin last week but the doctor assured me that this is the time when you start getting these "round ligament pains" and that I only need to see him if it gets worse.

I haven't even phoned the gynae about the lump yet... a part of me keeps thinking I'm over reacting to something so tiny but I know I should really just go have it checked it! Just not sure if it's something a normal GP could look at or if it's best for my gynae to check it out

Sorry Ontong, I hope that you find something soon. I agree with Nixy, tell them you are pregnant and you need to see a gynea asap.

Nixy I don't have a lump, but I have a pain on my right hand side. The doc said that it's normal ligament pain and growing uterus.
Have you been to the doc as yet?

That's very strange that they are only available so late! I know that with most gynae's, they make a plan to fit you in if you are pregnant... I think they normally keep a certain number of appointments open for pregnant ladies. I know with normal consultations (if you aren't pregnant), they sometimes have a 3 month waiting list!

Just be sure to tell them that you are pregnant and hopefully one of them can fit you in

Thanks Nixy, Cant believe this is such a stressful process. And all the Gynae Im contacting are only available late Feb/ March Ai. Don't know what to do cos I know there are tests to be done at certain stages in the pregnancy.

Pregnancy can do some strange things to your body nothing too strange happening to me yet. But I think you need to have your lump checked out .

Hi Ontong, I did some research and Dr Brune in Kempton Park comes highly recommended... Not sure if that's in your area or close to you as I'm from Cape Town so don't really know your area

Other news... I found a small lump under my left ribs. I'm assuming it's all part of the process and all my insides are shifting around but I'm still super concerned it's something more serious. Anybody else have any strange things appearing/happening to them?

I would also deal with the heartburn. So glad morning sickness is finally over. I had my 17 weeks scan on Friday. My little bean was moving around. He is 187 grams. Doc says everything looks Good...

Ontong I don't know anyone from Boksburg or Benoni. I hope you find someone soon.. Maybe Google a few gyneas around your area. What birth do you plan on having?
