Wow Simone, that's incredible. Have just googled it a bit and cannot believe the detail they are able to see with these scans.
So, Dr must be able to tell gender with this scan!

Hi Bellyhearts. Yes I had those with both of my previous pregnancies.

Usually done around 20 weeks which is where you will be right?

It's very detailed. They check the heart and valves and chambers. Blood flow from mom to baby, etc.

They picked up I had Single Umbilical Artery with my daughter and also there was something wrong with the blood flow one my right side. Was flowing too fast. So I was monitored for 3 or 4 weeks and had that scan weekly. Thankfully they didn't charge me for the follow ups and all was fine.

I do find sometimes we have too much info. The artery thing, if you google...can make you CRAZY! My child would be deformed, have a cleft lip, this, that, etc....and in the end there was nothing wrong with her.

You'll enjoy the scan I'm sure though:)

Hi Ladies,

My next scan on the 20th of March will be an anomoly scan where they will check the spinal cord, the heart chambers, etc. Have any of you ever had this before?

hehehe... Simone, packing for a baby is indeed a mission.
at least at my parents' place i have almost everything that i need there permanently, so i only pack clothes and nappies.
will see how that circus goes when i start going out with 2 babies :tmi: :silly:
yes, dynexan is a tube. have no idea what the indended purpose is, but i know its is usually for adults.
it is so fun when they move around at the scan. holding thumbs you can see the gender.

Ayesha, it does get better, but as Simone says, doesn't really go away. hehehe. but after baby is born, the sleep deprivation makes it a lot worse as well.

me 35, DH 39

Not sure if I told you ladies, but I cannot stand sugar or sweetness.....me...a confessed chocoholic! So today I had 2 digestive biscuits (super yuck but I needed to nibble on something)...this baby was literally doing cartwheels in my stomach. lol. I could see my tummy move! That's crazy!!!

Brought a choc marshmallow to have before scan, but worried now if it moves like this, we won't be able to do a decent scan! So maybe no sugar for me??
