if you want to try it, at Click you get "Expanda belt" it like an elastic that you can add to your pants. worked great for me and i will use it again. will take a pic for you tonight and upload tomorrow. then you can still wear your normal pants

i thought i was the only 1, we saving all our money for the baby so buying clothes not really an option, if any of you are in jhb, trust me, go to china mall, they gt elasticated pants you can wear through your entire pregnancy and they like 50 and 60 bux!! i bought a few and they are so cool and comfy .

I too am so excited about next weeks scan! I can't wait to see/hear baby's heartbeat!
My fiance will be a first time dad and he is so excited too!
After that its the long wait till we can find out if baby is a boy or a girl!

I just wish my clothes fit better.. LoL.
Everything is tight already. Already had to buy maternity bras and knickers. This weekend I'm going on the hunt for pants... none of my jeans fit anymore!

I'm glad the morning sickness is easing up a bit for you ladies.

Bellyhearts, at 9 weeks you will definately hear the heart beat, and you will probably be able to see different bodyparts, baba might even move around.
my 11 week scan with lb we could make out his whole body and he jumped around and moved like crazy.

looks like i'm also getting a bit of a break with morning sickness today. what a lovely feeling not to feel like vomiting constantly.

Stella, thanks for advice on first scan, I'll be 9 weeks next week so really holding thumbs to hear the heartbeat.

I am a software developer in Durban and luckily will be able to work from home. You ladies all sound so amazing and interesting and am so impressed that you all take on so much.

I'm at 8 weeks at the moment, clothes and undies are getting tight. My morning sickness has improved slightly the past few days. Hoping it gets better as weeks progress.

i did Hypnobirthing with my first and it was such a lovely experience - 100% natural with no meds but in Hospital. this time around i will go to midwives and again have a natural med-free hypnobirth - might even consider a waterbirth, but that idea kind of freaks me out, cause birth is very messy

I am a registered nurse and midwife

However, when my son was born, I stayed home with him for 3 and a half years. I am now living in France and unable to practise as a midwife I'm devastated!!!!!

So I am a part time nanny to a 4 month old and I run my own business targeting the other English speaking expats here (in paris). I give ante natal classes, breastfeeding support and I'm a doula.
I only just started my business so it's a bit slow but hopefully it'll pick up and I can stop nannying.

I'm in the process of trying to get my nursing registered here and I'm studying to be an international lactation consultant.
(Yes I've taken on like 100 things!!!!)

I will be having an all natural birth again. I wish for a water birth but births in France are very medicalised so going to be hard getting that right!!
