Sorry to hear about you tummy bug liefie. It must be awful to feel so sick and mot be able to do anything about it.

hay ladies!

I've picked up a stomach bug it seems been having cramps last night since 2am at first I got really worried
that it is the start of a miscarriage (your mind plays horrible tricks on you).... but then went to the loo and realized this is a tummy bug.

Not able to eat or drink really as I just end up getting cramps again! Will see how it goes today otherwise guess I need to go
to the dr tomorrow. Not allot they can give or do apparently I just have to try and stay hydrated and when I am able to eat
carb rich foods like bread, patato or pasta

With my first pregnancy I got a cold at 8weeks and I though that was bad!

Great to hear your scan went well Lavi! our next scan is next week Tuesday I will almost be 16weeks then. I will have to start
the progesterone treatment. (setpills you have to use everyday) This treatment should help the cervix not open so early again but it is not a given that it will def work, we are willing to try everything though!

Lavi, it's good news that the scan went well.

I'm also trying to hold off the maternity wear for as long as possible. It feels like a lot of money to pay for something you only wear for a short period of time. I might invest on some pants with elastics and draw strings for now that I can also wear afterwards.
Liefie - I agree with trying to accomodate the seasonal change from summer to winter without having to buy clothes for both seasons

Hi ladies!

Apologies for the lack of news. We went for the 13 week scan last weem and everything went perfect. We even got a cool little scan photo of baby with his/her hands folded. It was so special.No news on gender yet though. Although I am still a bit in denial, i am definitely starting to show!

hahaha my pants have been tight for a few weeks already! and I don't want to buy new clothes
or if I do buy I would rather buy winter stuff that will fit me when I am at my biggest, something I will have to do
as the clothes I do fit is starting to become less and less to choose from lol

Liefie its the same with me. I feel very hungry some days and its like i cannot eat enough but then when i eat too much i get nauseous. I actually get a little nausea everytime i eat lately. It is strange because i never had this with my first pregnancy. Thats why i also suspect its a boy this time.

Fairychild that is great news on the downs screening results, very happy for you! My pants are also getting a bit tight but I am only 10 weeks along

Liefie - I think it's the hormones. Everything makes me cry.

I received the blood-results for my down's syndrome screening this morning. The risk is 1/28 000. Very happy about that.
Other than that I am starting to look pregnant. Some pants officially don't button up anymore. Feels a bit early to be so big, bit taking it as a sign that baby is growing:)
