I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well!

@Megs, glad all your gynea problems are sorted and you can have peace of mind!

@amy, I'm excited for the fetal scan, I think it's so interesting that we can find out so much while baby is in the womb!

@musa, baby is at a good weight. has the Dr giving you additional medicine to take? I'm just curious?

AFM: I'm finally putting on weight. I've been craving peaches constantly but I've also come down with the flu but still working, I wish I could just rest! I have my fetal scan on the 17th of march, I'll be 21w 3d by then.

As for birthing methods, Amy and Megs what are your plans? breastfeeding? I'm feeling so overwhelmed with information at the moment with all these things, it's quite daunting!

Hey Musa! I had my fetal assessment on friday at 20w4d and baby was measuring just 360g, your baby is growing so well! Thats so good to hear!
My stepmom was down from Joburg so she could watch my son, so hubby could join me at scan
What is placenta accreta :/ shame man so sorry theres another issue. But im sure you and baby will be just fine!

Megs sorry about you Gynae experience, hope the new one continues to put your mind at ease. Amy yep time is moving and glad all is going well. I'm 21w3d today and went for my fetal update assessment. Baby growing well is at 439grams now. C-section scheduled for 29 June. Placenta accreta visible so scared about that again. If not well managed during birth causes hermorraging. But remaining positive at this stage

Wow @megs! Your old gynae is terrible, how insensitive and unprofessional! So glad the new one is instilling more confidence.

Afm, 20 weeks today! Have my fetal assessment scan on Friday. Just a bit sad my husband won't be able to join as he has to be with my 2 year old. No children are allowed for this one, and i have no one else to look after him sigh.

Thanks everyone! After much research it seems my current OB is too focused on retirement and not so much seeing me to the end of this pregnancy. I have to go and do all my bloods again due to his miscalculation of dates and basically not jotting down an estimated due date which has clearly been marked on one of his scans. Anyway! Just hasn't really been thorough at all and hasn't provided much support or instilled much confidence. We live and learn. On the upside my new OB has been a huge source of comfort and has said she will phone me tonight for a chat and we can plot a way forward. New EDD we think is the 31st of July - so baby is more like a week behind where it should be and not 2 weeks.

I'm just soooo annoyed cause I have been chasing the first bloods down all morning and the Lab has said they ran them twice and inconclusive - most probably because of the incorrect dates. Even though I went exactly when my gynae told me to! Grrrrrr. They have given him the results anyway and they have been sitting with him all morning and ja, he hasn't even bothered to phone - knowing I left there in tears yesterday. Absolute fail
