Morning everyone!

We stayed in Bloem after my scan on Monday - hence me only being able to give some feedback now. (SORRY, BEA!!! - thanks for your concern - you are so kind).

Chanti
Sjoe...glad all is going well with you and your baby. What did the doctor advice? When will the spotting stop?

Pinky
Only a few more days until your scan! :woohoo:

AFM
We only had our scan at 6pm on Monday evening. The fetal specialist is very popular and as a result it is almost impossible to get an appointment. They squeezed me in as a result of my history. Baby measures a few days ahead - all was checked. Brain cavities, nuchal fold, nose bone, kidneys, heart chambers, flow through the heart and all possible soft markers for any problems were excluded. We are immensely grateful. I was really very scared. Everything seems to be as perfect as could possible be.

We did however decide to do the tri-screen (Harmony) bloodtests and will have the results in 2 weeks time. Bea...can you remember what you have paid for yours? We have decided to to the extended test that will test for micro-deletions of genes as well.

I feel comfortable that all will be fine. I am praying constantly about this since before conception. Still...it is very nerve-wrecking waiting for the results....

@Pinky - I'm also looking forward to the weekend! We are also going away. This last weekend was way too short. Getting closer to your scan!

Afm, had an emergency scan this morning as had a small rush of blood this weekend. Baby looks fine and healthy, was doing flips and jumps for us. It seems as though the bleed/spotting is just coming from the actual vagina. Quite common in pregnancy apparently. Just so happy bean is healthy and strong. Definitely going to try my best for a home birth though after seeing the gynae, it reinforced my desire to stay away from the hospital for me personally.

The closest gynae is 1.5hr away so I'm not too keen on making the trip unnecessarily as it is quite an ordeal to get there. You must be so excited for your scan :woohoo:

@Pinky - Lol i secretly unbutton my jeans button under my jersey at my desk... The last pair of jeans that actually fit somewhat.. I actually haven't bought anything yet but we have been given loads by family and friends! I'm all into the modern cloth diapers and I am going to start investing in one or two a month soon.

Ladies, I'm in two minds about what pram to buy... I really like the Chelino Urban (3 wheeler) but it is rather pricey. We live a small town where the street roads are dirt and so if i ever go walking with baby it will be "offroad". The two wheelers are much cheaper but would they be okay? Do you ladies even use the pram much?? Just not sure what kind of money I must set aside for this investment.
