I also want to start buying stuff. I have lots of baby clothes packed away from my children and so badly want to know the gender so that I can go and sort out stuff and see what I still need to buy.

Yes, you will be able to hear your heartbeat easy...both left and right (either through the placenta...or though a major vein). With regards to the spotting - I really would suggest you visit a gynie and just check it all out. Fortunately it is brown...and there is no cramping..but it is obviously coming from somewhere - and being 12 weeks pregnant...you should not have any spotting. I am sure it is all fine, but there is no reason for you not to quickly pop in at a gynie and check things out.

Reef, so glad that everything is fine, I cant wait for my scan in two weeks, I cant wait to know that everything is fine and I can start buying stuff.

Jooste, we are also only telling rest of family and friends after scan, ill be 13 weeks.

Chanti, Also cant wait to start showing, I feel like im getting seriously fat though.

@Jooste - The spotting seems to have returned and still hanging around but thankfully only dark brown


@Pinky - You are so lucky you could hear heartbeat, I could only hear my own very far left and right, I assume there is some major vein there or something. I will try again next week sometime but I think my uterus is still tilted back and hasn't come forward yet.

@Reef - So awesome! So glad you got to see little baby

AFM, went through a very restless time this week and wondering if things are fine with baby and then I had a peace come over me and I was confident in the fact that all is going fine and i musn't stress. I felt something really weird yesterday, it was almost like I felt my whole uterus move it wasn't painful at all, just like someone repositioned a balloon inside me.

So I can't suck my tummy in anymore waiting patiently for bump to arrive.

Scan day was awesome!!!! Everything went great and my little girl looks very comfy. We even got to see her little arm come up for a head scratch... was amazing!! Now I have to wait 5 weeks for the next one... eeekkkkkk!!!

No symptoms on my side, except tender boobies. I think I'm one of the lucky few, my sis also had no symptoms.

Yes, little one is still low. I cant find or hear anything lying flat . Found heartbeat almost sitting up straights and way to the left not near middle. But atleased I found it.
